QUOTE(ketupatlazat @ Apr 12 2017, 06:53 PM) those who are in a disbelief with this stat is living inside their own bubble. Some of them arent poor financially, just poor way of expenses management. Earn 3k spend all 3k, earn 10k spend all 10k. Earn 20k also wont be enough with this habitFor them it is hard to comprehend the fact that how come poor people still exist meh?? |

its not about poor or income, its about savings
you can have 25k but coming out with 1k can be hard due to commitments, big house 10k, nice car 5k, kids, wife doesnt work, etc etc. its not an alarming or new thing, and frankly the 2nd hand BMW in the article already points out to who these people are. So yes they can be buying hokkaido, peranai or anything cause it was never about how much they earn, but how much they spend and people who tend to spend on overpriced shit, tends to fall into this group |

QUOTE(Vape On @ Apr 12 2017, 07:05 PM) Let me put this here. I think it's higher than 1 out of 4. I read somewhere (today's Malaysian Reserve, I believe) that 6.3 million households are receiving BR1M, which means around 20 million people.1 out of 4 malaysians are getting br1m. 1 out of 4. And those are the approved. The applied is about 1 out of 3. Do you understand the meaning of br1m ? That's scary ... |

QUOTE(Vape On @ Apr 12 2017, 06:53 PM) Lol. Nope, I wish I was that young. Oldfag d lerr me. I am guessing you are now either student or working with less than 3 years experience. Am i right? You would observe that people in richer parts of klang valley have more savings if you mainly compare between Chinese ppl but do bear in mind majority are the Malays. Looking at Malays in KV (macai and crony not included), memang damn a lot are heavily in debt and have minimal savings. They constantly upgrade their lifestyle whenever they earn more resulting in them not being able to save. Everytime got promotion etc, will upgrade car, house etc. So end of the day no savings. More Malays in kampung tend to just maintain their lifestyles and live in old houses while saving the extra money earned. |

QUOTE(scorptim @ Apr 12 2017, 07:19 PM) Nope, I wish I was that young. Oldfag d lerr me. Actually since the bnm survey is not region specific. You would observe that people in richer parts of klang valley have more savings if you mainly compare between Chinese ppl but do bear in mind majority are the Malays. Looking at Malays in KV (macai and crony not included), memang damn a lot are heavily in debt and have minimal savings. More Malays in kampung tend to just maintain their lifestyles and live in old houses while saving the extra money earned. It means the whole country. 3 out of 4 cannot raise rm1000. That make sense because 1 out of 4 are taking br1m. Inflation and rising food cost are killing the minimum wage workers. Those pakai civic guna tayar second hand is less of my concern because they chose this lifestyle. I am more concern about the poor and needy. |
