QUOTE(arafat @ Nov 5 2017, 03:55 PM) Do u know where to repair lcd screen and the price around klang valley. Better send to Lenovo Service Centre (RM700 estimated...not worth, right?) and get spare phone while waiting for 2-month repair period... else, keep using the device (if the digitizer still workable and slap a PET film on top to avoid more cracks or harm to fingers....My usual shop asked 3 supplier but all said no stock |

QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 5 2017, 09:04 AM) How's the external speaker of P2 compared to Redmi Note 4/4X? Way richer and louder...? P2 external sounds better than RN4. Seems like both sides have sound compared to only bottom for the RN4. As far as I can "hear", my P2 speaker is the loudest and richer compared to my Note5. Can say slightly lower than HTC BoomSound effect... only Mono channel though... Still, just set it at 50% level so far... Note 5 speaker is loud and rich too mm can't really say which one is better but I think the sound projection is better on the P2 but Note 5 sounds louder to me. Both still lose to Zte Axon 7 which I used for a few months before. |

Infrared vs NFC...
Fast 30-minute charging... micro-USB vs Type-C port... Local accessories vs imported accessories availability... After sales support... Resell value for 2nd hand unit... Telco LTE-A bands, VoLTE, signal strength for network, Wi-Fi & Bluetooth... Custom ROMs (if interested...) Eerrmmm... That's all I guess.... QUOTE(Aivihc @ Nov 6 2017, 01:30 PM) Mi A1 + powerbank = thicker and inconvenient compared to P2 without need for powerbank. Since u got a change to buy new phone why not consider those newer ones with bigger battery?Be careful also with 2nd hand phones. I bought 2 units of S7 Edge, one can get 5-6 hrs Sot which almost last a day usage. The other one barely hit 4 hrs and need to recharge halfway through the day. QUOTE(azhar75 @ Nov 4 2017, 09:59 AM) So, you're the type of person who doesn't change phone very often....good for you... I tried to look for Lenovo P2 sample (to touch and feel, but couldn't find it in Lowyat or Mid Valley). In the end I trade in my Note 3 to for Xiaomi A1 + free gifts (Extra Type C cable (fonemax), 10000 mAh Xiaomi powerbank slim).I strongly suggest to get the Xiaomi Mi A1 as it has more storage and same 14nm SoC. With this SoC, the phone should be able to secure the battery for 3 years because it does not overheat even under heavy usage. The main reason to get the A1 is 2 years OS support from Google/Xiaomi. Even if say the 3K mAh battery dies before reaching 2 years, we can always opt for powerbank as the ultimate solution. Screen is subjective as Super AMOLED is prone to "burn-in" but no P2 owners worldwide has reported this for the past 12 months. P2 screen is claimed to have Corning Gorilla Glass 3. But the weak point is located at the fingerprint scanner region where the screen is depressed/sunken due to excessive screws holding at the back of the panel/glass. So, sudden impact within this region is anticipated to shatter the whole glass altogether. Applying cheap tempered glass is the viable workaround (no need 2 layers anymore) but there is still another issue of bubbles around the depressed/sunken area. We can solve this by applying "white filler" below: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Getting a rugged shock-proof case is also encouraged to secure the beautiful 700-nits Super AMOLED screen. Overall, if I were you, I'll go for the Mi A1 for safer long term considerations...else, can just get the second hand P2 for alternative as the brand new P2 is still reaching RM1K at the moment... I'm pretty happy with it, but now even after install CF Lumen, I'm still wonder it it really filters the bluelight in IPS display or not. Overall I'm pretty happy. I know that A1 camera is not that good, but hey I survived the not-so-useful-note-3-camera as well Thank you very much boss! for your advice!
