It's called the "One Ring Scam". The scammer will buy an international premium rate number that charges the caller when you call in. One call might cost you a few hundreds or thousands.

The Telcos and MCMC won't give your money back, because you made the call and the scammers did not actually do anything illegal.

Please inform your parents and older relatives about this too, as recently there is an increase of calls from number from countries like Maldives and Pakistan.
