QUOTE(petrofsky77 @ May 23 2017, 09:25 AM) That one just a difference in terms of namesake. The hardware still different. 4X using MTK Helio X20, Note 4 using SD625 (14nm finfet). Just becoz u change ROM from China to global, doesn't mean h/w inside auto change to SD too. It's still a 4X. No, 4x is using Snapdragon 625.

QUOTE(petrofsky77 @ May 23 2017, 10:00 AM) Then that is confusing indeed. MY set calls it Note 4 but with SD625. Imported set calls it Note 4X but with SD625 too ... hemmm ... Yea imported sets from China use Note 4 for MTK and 4x for SD625.

New owner of Redmi Note 4x 32GB Snapdragon Black edition. Was previously using S7 Edge. Everything on S7 Edge is better of course, except for battery. With same usage I was getting approx 4.5-5hr on S7E. With this one, I still have 50% left after 4.5hrs Sot!

QUOTE(Rolland @ Aug 13 2017, 12:28 PM) May i know which rom should i download? Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm Latest Global Stable Version Fastboot File Download ? I am a bit confuse as when i bought the phone, the shop people say Malaysia version is Redmi Note 4 plus, but under phone properties, it only stated Redmi Note 4. There's no such thing as Redmi Note 4 plus.

Is there any difference nice between Redmi Note 4x (Snapdragon Global rom) vs Redmi Note 4 (Malaysian set)?
Since both are Snapdragon, will both perform equally?

Since both are Snapdragon, will both perform equally? I helped a relative buy one at rm649 for the 32GB 3GB version from Gadget Village. Since same hardware and it's to bring to overseas I chose the cheaper option. Oops replied wrong thread.. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Aug 22 2017, 01:18 PM

Anybody using AEX ROM? I just got a 64gb 4gb Malaysian ex forum member set, after using S7 Edge and Note 5 they both can't last a day.
When I got it it it was on 8 days standby with 38% battery left, the fella didn't switch off the phone after putting it in the box. So far feels fast and snappy with almost stock Google ROM. I think it's slightly smoother than the 3GB ram version I tried before.

QUOTE(MustyBalls92 @ Oct 2 2017, 02:04 PM) I used AEX ROM before yes its very snappy and stable Great, will stick to this ROM for now. No complaints so far and don't have to carry powerbank around anymore. BTW I found a full screen tempered glass with adhesive on the whole tempered glass as opposed to those with the sides only. Costs rm25 from one of the shops at Lowyat Plaza. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Oct 2 2017, 04:09 PM

QUOTE(Keatsan @ Oct 3 2017, 09:19 AM) I usually charge it at night. Day time last till average 30% since 7am unplugged. Ah ok, will have to get used to it, but its a good problem to have haha Feels much lighter moving around without powerbank. I don't know why all the flagship phones come with small batteries, it's one or the aspect overlooked.

QUOTE(Keatsan @ Oct 3 2017, 09:31 AM) I'm already used without powerbank after some time. Flagship phones have fast charging, hence eliminate bigger battery = weight. And they always mention efficient processor, so they balance between Efficient Processor = Battery Size Problem is it is not efficient also compared to SD625, more power always use more battery. To get the same battery life they need at least 4000-5000 mah. BTW, those who can use Google camera try it! It forms with EIS and videos are really smooth, no shakiness. Also low light is better. QUOTE(Keatsan @ Oct 3 2017, 09:47 AM) SD625 tilt towards energy savings while the high end SD840 tilt more to power. Then again, having so large battery would add on weight onto the flagship phones. Who wants a flagship phones with heavy battery? About RN4 size is still acceptable la, just with better specs My battery usage so far :- 8h 45 min sot, with soek online gsking and GPS 28 hours with 5% left. QUOTE(Keatsan @ Oct 3 2017, 10:43 AM) https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291676705Taken from XDAThat's quite good SOT usage. And the competitor for this RN4 head to head would be Lenovo P2, with extra 1000mah battery. Yea very good value for money phone. Was considering P2 but cost almost same like used flagships like S7 Edge so I disregarded it. For RM700 or below with 64GB 4GB is hard to match.
