Redmi 5 plus might get android Oreo + newer chipset. Go for it if you can still wait. It will available very very soon as hinted by Mi Malaysia. Not recomend for you to get Imported set (set from China). Yes, you can flash it with global ROM when it's available , but some incompatibility lead to some problems might occur later as your imported set hardware is not for SEA/Malaysia region unless you are very very sure it is exactly same. You no tertanya-tanya ke why electronics gadgets want to enter Malaysia market must passed SIRIM & MCMC first ?

Redmi Note 4 probably will stuck on android Nougat but luckily it has MIUI, so you still will get system update.

im on omni 8.1 right now. only bugs right now is cant save video recording with 3rd party camera. use default camera to record video

btw, gcam with potrait mode has been ported to our rom, and i could say it work fabulously. no need to buy mia1 to get bokeh effect.

few quirks is
- u need correct setting to get best result (dont worry, everything is in the photog channel)
- quite fussy, back camera could only do bokeh when it detect human. if its only object it wont generate bokeh effect. Potrait mode work great with selfie camera.
- it will auto generate 2 picture on potrait mode. 1 normal, 1 with bokeh effect. (just delete the one you dont want)
but quality with hdr+ is dammm awesome.

ohh, but be careful in all the channel, their admin is quite rude and will kick or ban u even for small thing.

No issue for me on arnova v1.3 front hdr+ . Tho potrait mode generate their own folder for every single photo taken, kinda irritating. Maybe will try using scrubber version.

Why not try omni? I usually got 12 hour sot with this rom. No fc no random reboot.

Could get better if dev is keen to do pure caf based rom. But, i'll make do with what been given.

Hell, no need to buy mia1 to taste oreo, dual cam effect. I'll wait slowly for phone with sd670 and 4kmah battery to appear on market before thinking about changing phone.

dont by this model..idle temperature 35c gaming can reach 45-50c..battery capacity 4000mah not 4100mah..my phone got tianma display not good..ghosting when scrolling really badly..my friend phone boe display really good..side by side tianma display look yellowish slightly reddish tint...boe display look blueish tint..

my friend's samsung j7 plus mediatek temperature cooler then mine..idle 28-30c gaming max 36..i tot snapdragon really good then mediatek base on the reviews..
