don't bother even if you can find one with sony sensor. The implementation is still bad from xiaomi. Yeah quality might be better but it is not a phone to get for it's camera.

If you are hunting for sony sensor on this phone means you need your camera quality to be good. In that case just forget about redmi or even xiaomi phones. Their camera quality is never good. Best camera so far is mi5 which also uses sony sensor but that phone is lousy. Build quality like super bad.

Is Redmi Note 4 sold in Malaysia a RN 4X or RN 4? I'm talking about SD625 versions. I read some UK review saying 3GB/32GB should be RN4X since RN4 only have 2/16 or 4/64. Also the 4X shifted the IR port to the side as oppose to center on RN4. 4X should have more metal?

Just like to know the spec before I buy it. Lazada have lots of imported phones, prefer to buy the one with official Xiaomi warranty. need to gather the info so can ask the seller.

Any possiblities the telcos here support intraband CA ?

Webe had plans to launch intraband CA but nothing more than that. They still haven't decide to do it or not.

Only Xiaomi Mi series phone comes with both intraband and interband CA but Redmi series only intraband CA. I don't think there's any similar budget phone at this price. As far as I'm aware Xiaomi seems to be the only phone vendor that produce "4G+" phone with only intraband CA. Other phone manufacturer that sells phone with 4G+ support both intraband and interband CA.

My apologies for not making my explanation clearer. Mi 5 is a special case where the base model support only intraband for the 32GB storage model but both intraband and interband for other storage option.

If you are already in LTE-A covered area, rest assure you are connected to LTE-A of Digi if you have Mi 5S. The reason it doesn't show 4G+ is because Digi only had aggregated 10(band 7)+10(band 3)=20MHz via LTE-A. All LTE frequency band are capable to deploy 20MHz just on single band and hence this is why you might be connected to LTE-A but not showing up as a 4G+ network. If you are using on a Celcom or Maxis, it will for sure show up 4G+ as both of them had 10+20=30MHz of aggregation.

BTW CA= Carrier Aggregation

I find it strange that people are having a problem with GPS on their Redmi Note 4.  I have a Snapdragon 625 Redmi Note 4 4gb ram + 64gb rom running on stock 8.5.4.0 firmware and the GPS works wonderfully.  It works as good if not better than the Samsung Galaxy S5 I used to have before.

I give up on Xiaomi phones.I tried and installed many GPS FIX apps but still not happening. 

Anyone with good phones to recommend with quick GPS lock in even in the house?

My spouse Redmi Note 4 can't even GPS lock in when I'm outside on the road while pointing the device straight to the god/s above the sky. Well blame the god/s for hiding the satellites from me? 

Laugh as you may but as much as you don't believe the myth that some Xiaomi device can seriously lock in the house (not car park becoz that wasn't me), my dotter Redmi Note 3 Pro can actually lock in GPS in the house 1 time out of 2 times. This may sound something new to you, do check this miracle with your loved ones that owned a Redmi Note 3 Pro Int variant.

basically the GPS issue is happen to majorities of devices.
I dont see any issue with 8.2.1 but when my device updated to 8.5, then the gps getting hard to lock location. it will always shows few hundred meter away from my current location. If lucky, then it will lock within 3-5 minutes, if unlucky, then have to wait for 10 minutes & above.

PS: Tested on outside as well as with 4G data.
