in general, its a very decent car.... the entire range are fairly decent cars for their respective price tags. features are plentiful. dont think theres really much to say about it. Fc is good, the cvt helps you cruise around at very low rpm's. drive it sanely and its frugal

I could say it is the best (all-round) c segment in town so far.

Edited, b-segment

Just don't buy the top spec with LED headlights. The headlight set cost 4 figure amount to replace.

Outlook = m2
Performance = m2
FC = m2
Maintenance = m2 (free service)
Boot = city

You can't go wrong with the Honda City, it's one of the best all rounder, decent performance and best in class cargo space, rear seating is spacious and comfortable, boot space is largest in class. Fuel consumption is decent enough, though not as good as the Mazda 2 or Peugeot 208. Downside is, since its so practical, its everywhere on the road and personally I don't like the looks of it, its not ugly, but it also looks kinda boring. Handling is not great either.

Mazda 2 is very much a driver's centric car. Extremely fun to drive, good performance and beautiful design, both inside and out. Handling is top notch, only rivaled by the Fiesta, taking corners is an ease. But usually handling and ride comfort is 2 ends of a stick, and passengers will hate the Mazda 2, especially at the back where its very cramp and stiff. Boot space is also one of the worst in the segment, 410 litres vs City's 536. Fuel economy is one of the best in its class due to its high compression ratio of 14:1 vs the City's 10:1.

I think power is almost same, I quite like its design..
it actually depends what you need and your purpose of owning this.
For fuel mazda totally beat city all the way with its skyactive can easily up to 20km/l, while city around 12-15km/l depending how much highway u use or stuck in traffic.

city more to small family sedan and spacious. mazda for sporty look and not so spacious compared city.
