if you buy the right router just connect your landline telephone to rj11 port and it will function just like a landline telephone..
just that it is a mobile number instead of landline number like 03-something

Ya i know but it cost around 900.00!

is over budget.

if you don't mind just using 4g and not 4g+ router, get one of these:

cat4 LTE CPE (D/U: 150/50)
Huawei B310s-22
Huawei E5180s-22
Huawei B315s-22

the cheapest around RM390

for RM80 a month maybe the price a bit steep compared to normal landline.. anyway a good suggestion
*
Just take Digi prepaid and can talk for 300 minutes, 1000 minutes or 1500 minutes.
Unless your mum really talks a lot on phone, then you gotta find an unlimited package. laugh.gif

Walk in to sifu store for Digi Postpaid 50Lite for unlimited call with 7GB FB and 3GB all use data, I guess it's the cheapest unlimited at the moment (of writing this post).

Unfortunately, I will only see my friend when I'm back in Malaysia. Never mind la, I can live with 4G on my phone. If I'm lucky enough, my phone's 4G+ may work there. tongue.gif

Small matter. laugh.gif Been travelling around most of the time, already experienced up and down of Internet connections until I'm numb now. At the end, I just want my Google Map and Uber work. Speed wise doesn't matter. laugh.gif During my Japan trip, the speed wasn't that fantastic as I would have expected from Japan. tongue.gif On another hand, I always get super speed whenever I am in Beijing using China Unicom and China Mobile. Germany also not bad, quite fast. So far, the worst I had experienced was in Mumbai. laugh.gif

Thank God for Roam Like Home, I can use my data in those eight countries. After Korea, I will travel to SG and CN for a short trip, so this thing just come handy to me though I can claim back from company or use Celcom's data roaming since it's paid by company. tongue.gif I hope the countries list could expand like UM's data backpack's extensive list but I must say I didn't have good experience with UM's data backpack when I used in India.

I'm using the same Modem too!

Working fine for me, but the only problem i'm facing is that the connection will randomly get disrupted and the only way to get my connection back was to restart the modem.

wonder why this happened blink.gif

1) Speedtest via MR6400 on laptop (Digi Best Prepaid, on RM8 unlimited high speed internet add-on) *the router is just next to me*

Attached Image

2) Speedtest on Lenovo A3600d (Digi Postpaid 238)

Attached Image

speed limitations? or the cheap Lenovo is superior than the MR6400 lolz..

I need recommendation for a good router with sim card slot that has telephone function. I'm currently using Huawei E5776S for my Infinite 150.

Something like Huawei B310, and I want it to be able to fully support/utilize Digi 4G+/LTE-A network. A plus if it has a battery for backup power.

My budget is around RM400-RM900. Thanks smile.gif .

anyone looking for LTE-A Mifi?

Letting go my Netgear Aircard AC790S (Similiar to E5787 i think, with touch screen)

Based on tech spec, if does support LTE-A CA B3+B7

However, i'm unable to test it out since no LTE-A coverage in my area. So letting it go.

I think so.. How to force MR6400 to use band 3? MDMA? Spent so much on it, only to be dwarfed by a cheap phone..
