Is TP-Link MR6400 a 4G LTE-A device? Need further assurance. I read that 4G LTE-A device doesnt need to support Cat6 as Cat4 is also considered as 4G LTE-A. Tq

so far for what I have found for tp-link only m7300 and m7350 are lte-a device..
*
Found the answer already:

Anything from Cat 4 upwards supports the faster LTE Advanced networks (also known as LTE-A, 4G , 4GX, 4.5G or 4G LTE ULTRA) which are now becoming standard around the world

laugh.gif It's device issue. I know it especially after using OnePlus 3T 4G+ issue.
This guy's issue is definitely lies on his phone. It supports B3 and B7 doesn't mean it can work together.
Layman term: The device must support B3+B7 to get 4G+ here, if it's B3+B3 or B7+B7 will not get 4G+ here. Some countries use this frequency but not Malaysia.

Hence, it's very important to get the correct variant to get 4G+ work here.

For e.g., E5786 must be 32a and E5186 must be 22a.
E5776 is not a 4G+ model.

so, does MR6400 support 4G+? I really hope so ...

It goes back to the type of CA. If it's B3+B3, no luck here. If it's B3+B7 then can get 4G+ here, all our telcos are using it. smile.gif
I'm from a MNC telco vendor by the way. laugh.gif

Can you recommend which phones and routers that support Digi's 4G+ if you don't mind? smile.gif

Get both like me. tongue.gif
Anyway, most likely my friend is buying E5786 from me, so I will only keep the E5186.

might do so lolz.. speed-wise, both are the same right? It's just a matter of portability I guess

wonder why this happened blink.gif

1) Speedtest via MR6400 on laptop (Digi Best Prepaid, on RM8 unlimited high speed internet add-on) *the router is just next to me*

Attached Image

2) Speedtest on Lenovo A3600d (Digi Postpaid 238)

Attached Image

speed limitations? or the cheap Lenovo is superior than the MR6400 lolz..

found out that A3600d is using band b1 and b3 for lte.. so means that your phone is connected to b3 is it? seems very fast
*
I think so.. How to force MR6400 to use band 3? MDMA? Spent so much on it, only to be dwarfed by a cheap phone..

if I'm not mistaken MDMA is best with Huawei modem only.. I once try it using ZTE and Sierra modem but not a lot can do compared to Huawei modem.. correct me if I'm wrong

MR6400 is using Qualcomm Atheros QCA9531.. dunno MDMA can support it or not

bangwall.gif might be selling MR6400 for Huawei e5186 or e5786

Is it only me or the following is applicable to you guys too? By the way, mine isnt Infinite, but Digi 238.

Problem: Slow speed test on Fast app / website. (Around 700Kbps max)

Solution:
1. Open Speedtest app, do a speed test (In my case, I always get 18Mbps++)
2. Open Fast app and do another speed test. There will be a huge increase from 700Kbps to 23Mbps++

I still don't quite get the logic though

speedtest app using nearest route to test.

fast app using international route to test.
*
What I meant was, I dont understand why the Fast speed test result increased from 750Kbps to 23Mbps++ after I performed speed test from Speedtest. I have tried it a few times when the speed is slow and it sort of works. I have tried to redo Fast speed test after the first test came out 750Kbps++. The Fast speed test increases dramatically only after I performed the test from Speedtest

Is there anyone else who also notices that the coverage map on Digi's website for East Malaysia seems to be going somewhere strange? 4G coverage for both Sabah and Sarawak seems to be significantly reduced, and my place which has 4G+ coverage before only shows 4G now, and other cities like Tawau and Sandakan now only shows 3G coverage?

Not an infinite user here (digi 238 user), but having drastic speed cut for a month. Spoken to Digi CS, they said there's no network issues in Sarawak. I want to know whether others face the same issue or not?

Seems like the internet is restored so we can surf now, but still can't make calls.  blink.gif

Edit: Calls working now too.  rclxm9.gif

glad that your internet has been restored. mine still very slow. Digi CS even said that "The coverage map reflects the actual 4G covered area within Malaysia." If only I did capture a screenshot of how the coverage map looks like before, then he/she will understand. They even said that "We had never downgraded our network in Sarawak"
