QUOTE(raynman @ Apr 19 2017, 02:30 PM) Could you recommend some popular and reliable models? I think this one also a good alternative if one's budget is not that great.. though cat4 not cat6, it does support LTE-A.. haven't found any LTE-A mifi or router less than RM500 locally.. http://www.tp-link.com.my/products/details/cat-14_M7300.htmlThis post has been edited by Neomax3: Apr 19 2017, 03:24 PM

Yeah, the price of the Huawei E5186 is a bit steep for me.

QUOTE(raynman @ Apr 19 2017, 03:37 PM) Thanks for the recommendation. Yeah, the price of the Huawei E5186 is a bit steep for me.  Welcome the cheapest so far is RM350 exclude shipping.. maybe a good choice for those on a budget constraint.. personally I'll go for those huawei and zte ones for better performance and stability.. but I understand sometimes budget does not permit one to go for it.. After using tonnes of modems over the years and I have owned more than 20 modems and few MiFis throughout the whole journey, I still think Huawei performs the best and follows by ZTE. Though I'm not a fan of Huawei due to job related reason but it still does its work the best when it comes to wireless broadband stuff. I have ordered E5186-22a and E5786-32a, both are with my friend now and she will bring over for me from China in mid of May. Remember only these variants work for Malaysia's 4G+. You may get cheaper in Taobao, but please check the variants and usually these two variants are more expensive and have lower stock quantity. The other variants may work for only 4G which I don't want. I want 4G+. Can't wait. At the same time, I still have UniFi 50Mbps on top of my Infinite 150. All for myself, I'm using them alone... I have the plan to relocate my UniFi account to my sister's house once it is activated in her area or terminate when my contract ends, in few months time... Less than 6 months. What modem are you using now for your Infinite 150? Waiting for your review comparing E5186 and the one you currently using

QUOTE(starz92 @ Apr 19 2017, 04:36 PM) I'm using MiFi Huawe E5776, the predecessor of E5786. I have given my Huawei E398 modem to my sister who is also using another Infinite 150.

RSSI - Received Signal Strength Indicator ; using E5186 Toolbox Of course as it is meant for home usage and wired but I'm not going to use it with LAN. Not a fan of untidy cables. My E5786 is only for jalan2 type as I travel to overseas quite frequently for work. This post has been edited by fruitie: Apr 19 2017, 05:10 PM

QUOTE(skycrew @ Apr 19 2017, 05:30 PM) Mine only 1-2 bars indoor but can capture around 50Mbps on normal LTE MiFi and on my phone.. Only if it is strong like Celcom and Maxis in my area, I bet it will be faster. Oh well, I do think it may help with my LTE-A router and MiFi.
