Yeah, I use the manual way since start.

Just to share, I've read some post on fb n reddit about the screen shot. Some buggers claim that because the iv check gives a range, the iv will change as we power up.. I was like.. what???

Before the appraisal function was implemented, even manually calculating IV will result in variance.

My long term vaporeon and exeggutor was a victim of that I think it can inaccuracy is expected if the app really just use screenshot.

To be honest, I really don't see the need for IV apps..

I'm valor so I'm gonna use valor appraisal terms... Amazing = Top percentile > 82%, Strong = Up to 80%, WOW = 15 stats.

I keep all the Amazing and Strong with WOW.. the latter will have higher CP than Amazing without WOW or HP WOW.

Then I slowly replace them with those caught with higher CP.

I only manually calculate for important power ups like Blissey, D9 and Ttar... those that I will be maxing up.

Is this revamp coming anytime soon? I wonder why they can't do proper announcement in advance. At least can be more prepared.

From recent track record, they do announce in advance. Like a day in advance

Either ways, nobody except niantic really knows how the revamp is gonna be so theres really nothing much to prepare beyond what most folks already been doing.. ie keep good iv candidates, holding on to candies and hoard dust

There's a lot of mon I wish to pump .. Like you pointed out, electric, fire, fighting, grass. But the thing is, I use my hard earned dust for gym sitters rather than attackers. So overall, attack squad is weak.

What I was hoping by niantic giving a proper time frame is at least I can hold back on pumping sitters now if the rework is coming soon. Without that, I need to get more gyms specifically for the dust that comes with it.

Tbh, I have considered what the gym scene would be like over here if 1 species limit introduced. I would expect shaving to be more rampant, and harder to get defenders / sitters in gyms.

Naw.. the whole point is to prevent stagnation so if it works, i dont think anyones gonna be sitting much

That's what you would think.. ideally, yes.. But reality not that way.

But there are few areas near my place dominated by few players.. you can take it down, but 10 min will be taken over again and up to level 10. So if you play legit, I wonder how to collect in the future...

Plus it's faster to shave vs level up, so I expect many players will get shaved out relatively fast, especially if the player is collecting coins.
