I just noticed my SYABAS payment with HLB Wise via UOBpayonline is now shown under the description as:

TINGKAT 1 KUALA LUMPUR MY

instead of the usual:

PAYONLINE-SYABAS KUALA LUMPUR MYS

Same thing when I wanted to pay for Telekom last month with PBB Quantum and my online description shows

TELEKOM MALAYSIA BHD KL(HD) MYS

instead of

PAYONLINE-TELEKOM KL(HD) MY

I have called HLB CS to find out if "TINGKAT 1 KUALA LUMPUR MY" is still considered under utility or not. Will revert.

Seems like all transactions via UOBpayonline will directly go to the merchant instead of being paid to UOBpayonline first.

For that particular TM transaction, what is weird is in my PBB statement it was captured as Tuesday transaction but I made the payment to UOBPayonline on Monday afternoon. When I checked UOBPayonlone payment history it was captured as Monday transaction. I only received the SMS on Tuesday.

All my previous transactions follow my UOBpayonline transaction date. Seems like starting this month UOBpayonline has changed their payment method.

Edit: I just paid RM10 to TNB via UOBPayonline just to test. Will see what the transaction description says in a few days time.

OK. This can be actually a good thing you know. I will try to pay with PBB tomorrow to test if I can receive the 5x/8x promo

I guess that's the end for WISE then? I don't see the point of keeping this card if I can't pay utilities with UOBPayonline anymore...

then i really duno wtf is wrong with the site...

called HLB to check on my RM10 paid this morning to TNB via UOBPayonline and it says MCC 4814

HLB CS also added my previous month's transaction with UOBPayonline MCC code was 4814 but with a description of PAYONLINE - SYABAS, therefore entitled for CB but because TINGKAT 1... does not tell the story where the payment goes, it won't be entitled for cb.

i just paid RM5 for syabas with PB VS via uobpayonline. let's see what my description says...

so far syabas seems to be the only culprit since myself and taipan22 encounter the same thing, although i have one off case for TM which pvateme reported differently.

i didnt know different card for same bank will give different description?

anyway i'm only suspecting it's UOBpayonline/SYABAS side that has changed because for my WISE transactions, last month was still OK, until this month when my SYABAS payment is showing different description.

Got my statement for Quantum.

Got cashback for using Quantum Visa at 1U Aeon departmental store.

since i cant use quantum to pay astro, i now pay with my pb vs.

Like what mamamia said, kindly don't call CS for "confimation". they know nothing. the easiest way is to ask here. ppl have been posting when they got the 5x/8x promo cashback and how (from which website), still ppl insisted to call CS. sooner or later they will know and everyone will get nothing.

I paid RM50 to Astro via their portal yesterday but my transaction has yet to be reflected in the payment history and I haven't received the SMS from them acknowledging the payment. Usually they are very fast to reply. Anyone did their payment yesterday and experienced the same thing? I called PBB to check and CS said the payment went thru...

I got my week8 cashback as well but curious about week9 more since this was the first week I spent using both quantum and VS to meet 8 transactions. Anyone got cashback for week8 or before by spending on both quantum and VS?
