Due to unusual DL and UP speed for my speedtest at changkat bukit bintang, I have asked my friend who works for DiGi why this happens.



He found that DiGi deploys 15mhz for its 1800mhz network for some sites. Of coz for the site I did the speedtest.
Hence,

For 10mhz,
DL max = 75mbps
UL max = 20mbps

For 15mhz,
DL max = 100mbps?
UL max = 30mbps?


lets wait for CA for 15mhz (1800mhz) and 10mhz (2600mhz) to reach 180mbps max

tested at DiGi HQ outdoor. seems also 15mhz for 1800mhz as i attached to LTE1800mhz with cellid 20x
and check my signature whr all tests at same location. previously was only 20mbps upload.
and with better latency too (14ms)

Of coz if DiGi CA with its 900mhz also, although only 3mhz utilized.

Digi network:
Cell ID 0xx = LTE 900mhz
Cell ID 1xx = LTE 2600mhz
Cell ID 2xx = LTE 1800mhz

Update: DiGi has enabled full 15mhz bandwidth for its 1800mhz sites at KLANG VALLEY only (from 10mhz previously)

But... But only p10 plus will have 4x4 MIMO for 2600mhz while they disable all for other models

So when telco start deploying 4X4MIMO, comparing p10 plus and mate 9 series, u will get 50% slower speed for mate 9 series even though same chipset.

Currently UM deploying 4x4 MIMO for 1800mhz and 2600mhz at Johor which max is 400mbps theoretically.....
The phone needs to have 4x4MIMO for both 1800 n 2600mhz to archieve that...which i believe will be samsung s8 series.
P10 plus will get only 250mbps coz dun have 4x4 MIMO 1800mhz
While other models get only 180mbps...

ur download speed over 75mbps when connect to cell id 2xx (connect to 4G only, not 4G+)

May i know whr is the kampung. U have to speedtest 1st as digi deploy LTE 900mhz at kampung instead of 1800mhz and 2600mhz which is only 5mhz (30mbps or less)..

Only 1800mhz... so u can use any LTE device to get that speed
AFAIK, only KV having 15mhz of 1800mhz, u can check the bandwidth via several apps or get 30mbps UPLOAD via speedtest.net to confirm it ...
else it will be only 10mhz. 10mhz only gets u 75mbps DL and 20mbps UL
