i don think u have that size... it is quite a good comfort tire similar Primacy LC but better in wet as i heard...
maybe you still can find 195/55 R15 as it is already out of production...

not sure but u can try to ask around as i'm not into comfort tire so i did not ask much...

currently driving on 205/45/R16 toyo t1r ..grip is great but i still dont feel confident on rainy days..too soft very fast wear off..quite noisy ..

yea heard the feedback that tire is not up to expectation... for tat size you can try out Hankook V12

hi.. i'm new to this thread. What's the recommended tyre for the Vios 1.5s (ori size 185/60/R15). Some ppl recommend to use 195/55/R15 and some 195/60/R15. Which size and make is recommended in term of all round performance (wet n dry) and is durable. i'm considering Michellin XM1, Yokohama A.Drive and Falken ZIEX-912. undecided on which one?

912 is better in performance... 195/55 R15 should be the correct one but 195/60 R15 still within the +/-3% rules of the stock tires...

if you need all round performance u can consider Hankook V12 (195/55 R15) but a lil hard to find now coz out of stock...
or if you still can find the Yokohama C Drive it is another comfort and all rounder but performance wise is a lil loose to v12 if not mistaken...

all the tire u listed is comfort tire (entry level) except 912 which is comfort performance better than the other 2...

I double checked the standard size for the current VIOS is 185/60/r15 (based on the stock bridgestone potenza size). Do we have to reduce it to 55 series if it's wider 195?
if compare C drive and 912, which is better, especially wet weather driving? i'm quite a fast driver.. normally i travel highway to work min 120-140km/h

then you should look for Michelin PS3...
that is much better as a performance tire... just tell them 195/55 R15 Michelin PS3... price should be around RM220~250 (promo, duno until when)...

If there are cracking on the tires, does it mean it's time to change?

HI all,

Im currently using Falken 912 @ 205/45/17 which was purchased at RM 270 from Klang.

I'm interested in looking for an upgrade for these Falken 912. What is the best next in line as an upgrade for this. When it comes to tyres, Im looking at:

1) Price - Budget of no more than RM 350/pc.
2) Durability - something that its thread wont wear off so fast due to (1) above.. pokkai wan ler..
3) Performance - sort of an all rounder for both dry and wet
4) Noise level - looking for something that is not that noisy


I will most likely switch to 205/40/17 for this compared to my previous thicker 205/45/17. Any nice ones to recommend? I'm basically down to Potenza RE001 and Toyo T1R with a slight favouritism over T1R due to its reviews having slightly better performance than RE001 in wet conditions.

Please advise. If you have anything to recommend other than these 2, please feel free to suggest too.

yes, better change... ur tire how many yrs old already...

ur budget i suggest you to go for Hankook V12 Evo... overall better than T1R also RE001 as per feedback it's wet grip is not up to ppls expectation as a UHP tire... V12 had a better review than T1R also, should be around RM300/pc...

been using 4 types of tires in the past 3 months :

1.Goodyear GT3 - noisy, normal grippy

2.Bridgestone Potenza ER30 - better if compare wf GT3

3.Michelin XM1 - comfort... so so la, quite quiet

4.Yokohama A.drive - most quiet among thm, quite grippy oso, same ranking wf XM1 ( for me )

Hankook V12 should do it or Falken 912

herm.. i never hv this prob with my wira 1.6, upgrade from 14' 185/60/r14oem rims to 16' rims 205/45/r16.. the only thing i notice when 1st time using 16' is when cornering somehow its more stable with same setup of suspension with 14'

this only happens to 2nd gen Vios, its running on delay system, so the engine will be slow respond, sthg like tat...
