i need to find somebody who has a pc that can record a guitar for my music project. my bandmates need a guide but i dont know a proper way to record a guitar into a pc and convert it into an mp3s. of course i know how to do it but the quality aint good

err, don't know if this is the proper thread to answer but if you can't find anyone to help, try recording at home studios...

or get a mic tube.. record using sonar or cubase..that shall do!

and a home studio is what im seeking
maybe theres a sound engineering student who wants to take this offer as a way to sharpen up their skills as a sound engineer or something

Hello everyone, I'm kinda new in this forum but been following up with jamtank for more than a year already (as a guest mostly since I'm not very good in posting anything in forum) LOL...

So, I'm representing my band to seek a drummer in here if there's any available and interested to join. We used to cover Muse's songs but now we're looking forward with our own songs and after we composed few songs, we decided to get a new drummer since our current drummer moved to 2nd guitar/vox. Our songs are quite simple anyway... erm.. I dunno is there any influences in the songs since we just wrote it based on what we feel suits. There's a punk-type + a lil bit ska + slightly metal-core and Muse-alike (but not like those weird2 guitar effect stuff as Matt). Most of it are just a fun type songs. One or two songs is quite a slow songs. No matter what, they were just a simple songs and easy-to-play with i guess.

Criteria,hmm... we need are :

- most of all, u MUST NOT in any band at the moment because we need someone who can give commitments. not full of excuse. (based on experiences...no offense.)
- skills, erm... doesnt really matters. since our songs is quite simple as long you're willing to learn and have enthusiasm to improve own ability from time to time. at least u know the basics to play drums.
- any age,race,sex are free to join.
- IMPORTANT RULES : you must be drug/weed-free (based on experience also....sorry), not racist, emo-free, matured enough to respect other people and know the limits and politics-free.

erm...i guess that's all so far.

a lil bit about the band :

we dont have any name yet, we already have few suggestions from the members and once you officially joined, we'll discuss together about it. Our current line-ups consists one guitar/vox, bassist and lead guitar. we're in 20-27 yrs old age range. we have chinese, malay and sarawakians in the band. Currently we already recorded (self-recording) few own songs and still some other few in process. this recordings are just for reference purpose for all the band members to train the song and make it perfect. We going to have a real recording later when everyone is ready. We mostly jam in AkarKarya, Damansara Uptown or somewhere around there. We possessed our own axes and equipments. hmm.. dunno what's more should i write..

looking for a club or a band?

i need.. a band. im doing acoustic stuff at the moment and only recently started writing my own stuff. i can play the guitar but none of the solo-ing things.

if anyone needs a vocalist. i'm in. or anywhere i can perform or stuff for some exposure would be great.
