They are just playing dumb, hope some suckers will pay the Anuual fee, just tell them cancel it, card cancellation dept will call to offer 2 years waiver with no T&C.
*
Does UOB One card have any auto-waiver criteria? Like swipe x times to waive? Not that I'm aware of.
http://www1.uob.com.my/personal/useful/fee..._annualfee.html

Cards that do not have such criteria are entirely up to the banks to waive or not, users are advised to read through before signing up.

Hi. Do we need to provide KWSP statements when applying for UOB cc? or only need payslip?
*
Payslip will do unless it requires more documents from you.

Updated PDS. Changes to YOLO's AF waiver condition.

If i interpret it correctly, you need min 12x swipes per year, not necessarily to achieve 1 swipe per month. Also, definition of "per year" should be "per anniversary year"; if calendar year, it wouldn't make sense.

You check all banks' T&C from time to time? sweat.gif
Anyway, thanks for the alert. A relief to many. laugh.gif

Finally received my RM50 cash back for my YOLO.  biggrin.gif

Woo, I didn't notice it was credited yesterday. Transaction and posting date were yesterday. This is fast. rclxms.gif

adele123 Add Absolute Thai Street into dining list, I swiped using it because it has 10% cash back which I haven't gotten yet... As per T&C is 2 months from swiping date. Let's see.

So now YOLO as so long as we swipe 1x per month will get auto waiver. good then.
*
But like others have voiced out, this statement is still very prone to misinterpretation.

QUOTE(kart @ Aug 18 2017, 11:02 PM)
So, which credit card are you using now, to replace the cancelled Yolo credit card?
*
PBB VS I supposed. One of the best cards.

If PBB approves my VS, I may cancel my YOLO too. It's quite difficult to have a minimum spending to achieve. sad.gif
They rejected me in April even for Quantum, I will try again next year.

i applied the uob credit card by telemarketing.

and the telemarketing staff promise to waive the 1st year annual fee for me.

but in the end UOB customer service said that 1st year annual fee cannot be waived

any idea how to get back the annual fee waiver??

thank you.
*
First year AF is usually free. You never spend anything before? Which card is this?

i applied One card platinium and already start using the card.

customer service staff very insist say the 1st year cannot be waive, but could waive in the following year.

i called third time and ask their officer to call me back, and i never receive the call from them at all.

i called them fourth time just now, they promise will call me back tomorrow before 12pm.

what could i if UOB refuse to waive for me the annual fee?
*
This is weird. How can 1st year AF is not waived but following year is.. sweat.gif rclxub.gif

I think the CS was misleading you.

Your anniversary month will be on August ??

Thanks for sharing, I going to do so as my anniversary month on next month September

By the way, I'm regular user for this card
*
Why wanna do this? It will be auto-waived since you fulfill the waiver criteria. It's stated in their page.

Yup, regular user here... but just to be safe, will try ask about that, otherwise just process to cancel then smile.gif

Mine is next month but I won't do anything to it unless I'm being charged with AF, this is when I will argue back with them.

Want to ask,
For the UOB One Platinum Card, the first year annual fee is waiver.
But the uob people from bank said for the first 2 year, the annual fee is waiver instead of one year~
So which one more accurate?
thank you~
*
Website. Never trust what they said though they can grant you additional one year waiver but get their B&W.

Hi, want to ask.

I received 2 card YOLO and Preferred Platinum.

Both got Annual Fee.

Which one better? I want cancel 1.
*
Both serve different purposes and to me Preferred Plat is not a useful card. No point keeping it so I didn't bother to apply.
YOLO is useful for me.

Any UOB staff lurking these forums? Some guy just called me and unloaded a tonne of info about some protection plan. How the hell am I suppose to digest all the info that way? I asked for details to be sent to me but apparently that can't be done. In what world does that make any sense?
*
Honestly, this kind of protection plan is not needed and a waste of money. None of us subscribes.
