Did you guys remember he say will sing til quite late and if we scream encore.. he will continue...

Overall.. the singer, performance is good.. but the audience.. really dissapointed.. malaysian.. plz give some respect.

To be honest, really don't know if he will perform any concert anymore.. if he does.. will he come to malaysia?

Cheung thrills fans at concert

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 30,000 screaming fans were treated to a dazzling performance by Hong Kong superstar Jacky Cheung at the Bukit Jalil Stadium last night.
Despite the rain, Cheung's fans sat through the four-hour concert as the "Heavenly King" belted out 61 numbers.

The concert was part of the singer/actor's "The Year of Jacky Cheung World Tour 07".

Cheung has a wide fan base throughout the world, including Malaysia. But his fans here have not had a chance to see him in a live show for two years.

Other stops on his world tour are the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, China, Macau, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan and Taiwan.
Tickets for last night's concert were sold out, with many fans turned away. For those who managed to make it, they got the best from Cheung.

Was annoyed with some inconsiderate audience... started a topic here:

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/520816

The audio is great. And his vocal ROCKS! Very consistent from beginning till end. I would wish he sing more old songs like "smile again", "amour", "ching yi sai" (love has ended?) etc.

to be honest, I'm not too connected to his mandarin snow-wolf-lake + perhaps love segment. Maybe's I'm personally not to keen on his mandarin songs.

I feel he's not utilizing the whole stage to the max. He seldom moves to both further ends of the stage. And the audience responses at the ground level is so... not so good la.

Yup, I think so, but, nothing is wrong running out of tune, as a singer, you must run out of tune sometime, right? rclxm9.gif Esspecially great singer like Jacky Cheung, running out of tune is considered rare and must appreciate it le!

He sang wrong lyrics for a song, I forgot which is it, that time there are lyrics on the big screen, he eventually sang wrong, wakaka...

Cannot blame him also wat... He sang for nearly 3 hours plus. Only last minute made the out of tune mistake... Consider SUPER already. Not to mention he shouted so much at the beginning (the one he joked about SG said he is insane already). Hehe

Sang wrong lyrics not also forgivable. He got so many songs to memorize wor smile.gif

Overall, splendid concert thumbup.gif

Have been lifelong fans of Jacky Cheung since his 1st album...really worth every penny i spend on the concert ticket. Did not regret at all.

46 y.o and still going strong, small out of tune is acceptable...remember, this is live performance!! He has been singing for more than 3 hours!! I oso almost lost my voice screaming and yet he still can continue.

The last song when every1 is singing together feel so touching...almost cry...haha laugh.gif laugh.gif

That's one bad thing about Malaysia audiences. Although we are known for our 'yit cheng' but in all of the concerts that I've been too, almost everytime before encore, those inconsiderate idiots - majority of them sitting at the back will make their way out.

It's a disgrace and very very disrespectful, regardless of who the singer is.

it was the best concert i've every been to thumbup.gif even though he did sang wrong lyrics and went out of tune.. but all is forgiven for the god of chinese pop wub.gif it was superb and he put on all those extra hours to the concert (when you can hear bell rang by the staff telling him to stop already laugh.gif). the dance was great, the singing was great and even the jokes he cracked was fun (okay maybe i was just too high). and to my surprise, the crowd was fantastic as well.... so far the most responsive crowd in any concert in Malaysia!! bravo to all jacky fans thumbup.gif

i myself was late.. not intentionally.. took the lrt but it was so blardy slow... had to wait more than 1/2 hour to catch one from my place sweat.gif you would have tot 1 hour is more than enough to go there by lrt when usually it takes less than 1/2 hour doh.gif doh.gif not to mention it's friday and a lot of ppl rushed there from work.

and i don't blame those who leaves early lor.... there are some folks who doesn't wish to get stuck in the jam... and there was some who was with some senior citizen.. so i don't think they wanna squeeze with the rest (the Malaysian crowd aren't really the most courteous towards old ppl). it's their loss anyway. the encore was so juicy wub.gif

i tot it was very farnee when they showed the two couple laugh.gif during the concert.

wah.. so many went ya!

i was edy inside the stadium around 7.30pm. the first thought when i went to my seat at the front row was : what was that smell??? omg!! the toilets were just there!! can't they move them outside the stadium? no fans could blow the smell away la...

secondly, a bit rain won't kill u. there were just these people rushing in front of me to get the raincoat. not even a raincoat, a garbage bag with three holes... (i for one, didn't wear it).

thirdly, the echo was just too much!! it's like the front rows were edy responded and then came the back audience responding. and jc had to wait for the back to respond then only he could continue with what he was saying..

fourth, it was disrespect for people to move in front of the stage to leave. i heard what he said about ending the show coz people needed to go off early and he didn't notice we were making noises about that. if only the exit was far from the stage.... we could have another encore and the show would break wakin's record. i was so sure of that!!

fifth, he left out so many songs!! if he had removed the musical part, he could have slotted more cantonese & mandarin songs. luckily those mandarin songs he picked were some of my favs. i dread hk artists choices of mandarin songs coz they thought we were mandarin speaking overall. i cried when he sang 心如刀割...

sixth, he could have started the show exactly at 8.30pm but with 1/3 of the seats not taken up we had to settle for 8.40pm. and at 9pm there were people still coming in late. of coz, with the day with friday and buka puasa time, there sure to be latecomers. luckily, i took the train there and walked to carrefour for my pa to fetch me. if not... and i didn't have to walk alone. there were lots of people going that way and it's a first.

seven, hopefully this is not his last concert and looking forward to his next - probably titled 'jc's evergreen concert' and then we could have his oldies all night long...hahaha.

with jc, the list goes on... all in all, it was a great show, the sweat, the dance moves, the 'lotus' signature, the high pitch (signature too) and his vocals.. best!! he's the only artist that i have the casettes of (can u imagine?) and imagine the cost of getting the same cds... broke!!
