RM80 should ok la...
buy buy buy.. IMO, Filter is very very useful. not only for the image quality but also to help you to protect your lens also. you can consider ND or CP filter depends on your usage. |

That depends. For kit lens.....nah, not necessry. Most likely your lens gonna get filled with dust particle before u notice scratch. Just get a hood if u scare.
However if you plan to go to sandy places, rainy area, or generally lots of small particles, better get a filter so easier to wipe them off. But beware there are good ones and bad so just make sure the filter really is clear. If u notice a faint blur, dont buy. |

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Mar 23 2017, 03:06 PM) Just bought a A6000 Sony and the seller encourages me to get a Hoya UV filter for RM80 promotional priec. is the filter useful Just get it, UV filter act more as protection. Without filter, the lens easily get dirty such as- Dust - Water, after water dry, they u got water mark there - Oil, you hand will accidentally touche the lens - Scratch - Knock, when u carry the camera with your shoulder, sometime might accidentally knock something To clean it, you need to get a blower, a lenspen...etc And need to be very careful when clean it If get better filter (more expensive too), the photo quality will be better, less flare as well But, if you did not compare to other filter, you not really can tell the diff I own A6000 with kid lens as well, always with the filter, when lenspen not with me, I can just clean it with micro fibre cloth will do, some time even worst, I clean it with tissue paper only...but, Im not worry, because just my filter only, my lens still safe |

Btw, some tips to TS. Camera sellers ALWAYS recommend filter to newbie cause they try to earn more money that way and to clear stocks. So dont take everything they said too seriously. But not to say filter has no uses but to protect against UV ray is a BS excuse if they ever mention that.

Hated the Hoya UV lenses, purchased a few before but the quality control is quite poor on most. And they are not as easy to clean compared to B+W. But big price difference so not a fair comparison..

QUOTE(kkk8787 @ Mar 23 2017, 06:13 PM) That depends. Sony 55-210, 50 f1.8 and 35mm f1.8 have same filter thread size of 49mm. So you buy one size fits all. Too bad kit is 40.5mm. But you can buy a 40.5mm to 49mm step up ring. Then again you might as well buy one for each rather than the hassle of switch all time Or just no need filter, save hassle and money. Lens dont get scratch that easily. Besides, tiny scartch wont affect img quality. |
