Just get it, UV filter act more as protection. Without filter, the lens easily get dirty such as
- Dust
- Water, after water dry, they u got water mark there
- Oil, you hand will accidentally touche the lens
- Scratch
- Knock, when u carry the camera with your shoulder, sometime might accidentally knock something

To clean it, you need to get a blower, a lenspen...etc
And need to be very careful when clean it

If get better filter (more expensive too), the photo quality will be better, less flare as well
But, if you did not compare to other filter, you not really can tell the diff

I own A6000 with kid lens as well, always with the filter, when lenspen not with me, I can just clean it with micro fibre cloth will do, some time even worst, I clean it with tissue paper only...but, Im not worry, because just my filter only, my lens still safe
