Their product was solid, my mum's standing fan is almost 40 years but still working good.

Nowadays even Panasonic product is not as long lasting as National.

Equipment of yesteryear seems built to last for generations, equipment of nowadays only at least to last till the end of warranty period maximum.

Sg regional office refuse to replace, say warranty over, replacement must wait from Japan and cost >RM1K

I suggested to her go find toshiba japan email and complain there.

Japan approved replacement FOC.
