Planning to help my fren to get a new laptop...budget around 4000...any recommendation? How about this model? worth to buy?

I heard the hp/Compaq nc6000 is now out in malaysia

u can consider ASUS as well if:
----the laptop is not to be used as video game portal (you can set ur shared memory to 64M in order to play games). ----don't need DVD-rom and CDR-W (u can get an external combo drive at RM300). ----don't need wireless. (u can buy an external WIFI adaptor later. Better than built-in) L2400-E/L2000E ASUS model: Intel Pentium 4-m 2.2GHz. Sis Video card (shared memory - adjustable shared memory). 24x CD-ROM <----- major drawback. 20GB hdd. 14.1" LCD screen. 2 PCMCIA card slots. 256 DDR RAM - 2 slots. floppy drive. Excellent ports - 2 x 2.0 USB, 2 x 1394 FireWire, 1 x parallel port, S-port, IR, External Monitor port, PS/2, Lan/modem port and 9 pin D-sub serial port adaptor. oh...
for my opinion.... i think u get Ibm better..... cos i read those opinion in lowyat.... most of the expert also said that ibm.. beside that fujisu and thoshiba also a best choise... i think u can read all the information there |
