Try use satellite L100(TOSHIBA).I bought it last 2 years and it seems working well without even 1 problem. That time it was cost 4k.Even though it was 2 years ago,the system still can beat the current laptops.

-I plan to change into newer TOSHIBA in 3 years later since nowadays people using DDR3.

Added on June 21, 2008, 10:27 amI don't mean to insult ACER users. In a matter of fact, out of 10 ACER's users,7 of them complain problems with ACERS.1 thing good about ACER is that it is cheap, but when in problems time....DIAO.

Usually as i seen,ACER's normally got problem in it's hardware. It's the frequent kena "blue screen" and the BIOS also sometimes cannot read and need to format.I can't save all the files when there's problem with the BIOS.If virus i can save it.

1) Fujitsu
Get the C2210/C2220 or S6120 model

2) Compaq
Get Presario 2131AD or Evo n1020v model

3) IBM
Get R40 RA5 or R40 CEA model

4) Acer
Normally sucks but TravelMate 802 looks good.

5) Toshiba
Heavy but Pro SP-1 is good.

somehow, i prefer Dell for its price and after sales service, especially when we buying it online..
just pay, wait for 2-3 days, then the item will be delivered to your doorstep..
plus we can extend the warranty up to 5 years with an affordable extra charges smile.gif

For extended warranty coverage, I suggest getting UCare for your new laptops.
The package extends the warranty up to the 3rd Year...plus it comes with an All Risks Protection to provide coverage against loss/damage occurred in the 1st year.

The fees is very affordable too. rclxms.gif

There are a lot more benefits such as no Excess during claim, transferable to your new owner (if you intend to sell your laptop later), etc.

Hi guys, do you know a good shop or site that sells good quality Tablet PC in Malaysia? Thinking of buying it for my car as GPS/DVD/in-car entertainment. Plus, can easily take out and use anywhere else for its portability.

Really appreciate it if can help.

I see, thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into it, although I never was a fan of IBM. smile.gif

Added on September 19, 2008, 11:33 amUmm, just checked with the X60. I think you got me wrong, I wanted to find TABLET PC, not table pc. I don't see any specs mentioning about the X60 able to flip the monitor or touch screen capability. Anyway, hope someone could suggest me something.

I notice HP has a tablet pc model, but that one has a keboard attached. You need to flip it to make it look like a tablet. I saw once in the TV 'pimp my ride' where they have this sturdy looking tablet pc that has a very good drop resistance body and only has the monitor. Size not that big, probably around 12" or less. I dunno if there is any similar model to it in Malaysia though... sad.gif

Dell Latitude E6400.
Magnesium Alloy case, you can even hold the laptop on it's screen and it won't crack or break. Try do that with others and see what will happen.

Loadsa nice features on the unit as well. Some more interesting ones are the likes of E-Sata, the thing which allows quick checking of e-mail and outlook calender, the new security feature which allows integration of your own company badge's security scan, it's just the laptop any business use will find useful.

Btw quoting sunshine66, it takes one month to repair and you call it fast?
Dell offers next business day on site service, so next time buy dell if u want fast warranty resolution.
Buy dell, buy direct from the website, not from shops...thumbup.gif

No offence dude,jz my 2cent!

HP Compaq/Acer's stylish design does draw in some attention from consumers nowadays, without takin' any consideration of its consequences though ^^ I prefer Toshiba/Dell rclxms.gif
