how short is samsung battery?

claimed to be 6 hours. in actual fact onli around 4 hours.. btw it uses dothan core. google around n u wil see. may be changing from ibm r52 to this lah.

one of the most powerful proc around for laptop is actually amd 64 turion. its found in acer ferrari 4000 which cost rm 6k. it uses ddr1. can match the speed of p4-M 2.5 Ghz. read this somewhere but now can't find. ask mr. google.

My advise, never buy Compaq, HP is OK. Be aware, HP compaq & HP is diffrent. Compaq give u problem after years, especially after a year daily open & close the monitor, the handler become loose, shake!
The purpose of usage is determine the choose of Laptop, for game or for work, if work wat sort of work, office document work or graphic demanding like photoshop....

how r u going to differenciate both hp compaq with hp model?

Actually their some of HP & HP Compaq models look the same, juz different branding & color sometimes.

For example, HP nx7000 series is same as Compaq Presario X1000 series

The thing about a branded laptop, even if recovery disc crack or lost still can get drivers for the lappie off the maker's website easily.

For the lesser known brands... Good luck.

hmm... if want less than RM4,000 with light weight, u hanay boleh dapat either compaq or acer saja.

i tried both, same case after sumtime using hp n compaq u'll get
1. shaky screen
2. battery last half n hour oni

using acer now....hopefully dun hav same prob

b4 tis using Compaq 2100 & gf using HP9010

acer is just equal or worst only if compare with those hp compaq but at least rma services had improve liao nowadays.

Most local brands will list the weights of their notebooks w/o battery installed. The batteries are quite heavy.

no confident on it after having a bad experience all it's brand LCD monitor.

i have 2 in my office - so far so good.

the new one with Sonoma proc looks tempting.
