QUOTE(azyune @ Jul 7 2017, 07:17 AM) I did jump start to my father's flx before. both cars showed no issue. and replacing battery while engine's running is common practices to keep all settings from reset afaik. Rather, doing it otherwise will surely give voltage spike (sudden 0v to >12v) when we are talking about voltage spike, we usually meant overvolt kind of spike. Like a component is designed and running at 14v, then suddenly a spike came in and voltage read 19v. That will damage the electronic if it is sensitive and not protectedundervoltage is safe and would not damage electronic component, at most it would not power up that's it This post has been edited by N33d: Jul 7 2017, 10:42 AM |

QUOTE(boneyM @ Jul 12 2017, 08:25 AM) Hi guys, wanna ask a question here. Did you guys change the tyre at the Service Centre? Or just regular tyre shop? How about alignment and balancing after changing tyre? tire just go change outsidemore choice and cheaper Alignment and balancing i prefer go back SC, dont ask me why, i trust them more as my gut told me their machine is at least calibrated more frequently than outside one that is my opinion only la the $$ diff also not much |

Reverse camera stop functioning and 2 front speaker are stop functioning as well. Tomorrow have to bring to SC. QC after fix is failing big time.. haih stupid SC also messed up my HUFyi the firmware below now the speaker sounds like old school radio (no bass no treble) every time after reverse gear is engaged they blame virus from pendrive causing that after they failed the firmware update so convenient huh |

QUOTE(abrar_iiu @ Jul 14 2017, 11:06 AM) the SC/pomen claim they know what doin but pi gi dah.. sighI hope after they send the HU to penang, this matter solve. Or claim warranty ask for the new HU unit,, same in new iriz.. 😛 in my dream I guess..eh! can fit or not? some more there ratling heard at steering.. After they fix and next day I realize no horn sound at all.. aiyoo.. Takda QC langsung.. pomen asal boleh... one after another.. 😡 always a risk to buy first batch car, some more is proton.. I am happy with their products, but those small issues everywhere is what stop owner from enjoying and feeling proud of their cars imagine you have to fetch a fren that you keep on boasting how good your iriz is before and when he went into the car, all he sees and hears are those old skool radio sound and tikus! malu la!!! |

QUOTE(pin0245 @ Jul 17 2017, 04:32 PM) 2.5 years old. overall, could be saying as it squeaks quite often. did you suspect it is coming from the drive/aircon belt?from my observation, it will likely squeaks most of the time when i drive aggressively with harder rev. and yes, sometime hitting rough road will triggers it to squeak as well. and most important is, once it start squeaks, it hardly can goes off, even sometime it went full burst mode, and squeaks like a real mice non stop. i suspect it is coming from thr cos usually drive belt influenced by engine rpm how about off the engine and playing with blower speed, if it does not make the mouse sound, most likely it is from the drive belt just my 2cent |

QUOTE(abrar_iiu @ Jul 24 2017, 02:41 PM) 1.3 is not really for drag race for me, but you still enjoy main corner2.. broif am not wrong corner2 need soft side wall thus performance tire shall be consider. For 15 rim tyre I use 195/55 yoko advan fleva. Mine got at rm230 at JB, but sure you can get cheaper at your place. Iam not spiritual driver pun, but I do enjoy taking corner after corner continously. So far road to mersing from kota tinggi gave me much fun, but haven't got chance to test with my iriz and fleva yet. Anyway don't practice dangerous driving thou.. hehehe corner need hard sidewall for control and precision while soft compound for grip. 2 diff thing |

QUOTE(theWeird_Weird @ Jul 25 2017, 01:00 PM) i see. i saw the deal on fave then called the outlet to check, but they say will open the door panel half. i could nt speak for others,i also confused. i think maybe they have diff technique but recalling back, i think they need to open half panel in order to remove the strips so i guess is to open the panel but mine did not take the panel out just open, took out the strips, close back and do their job |

QUOTE(azyune @ Sep 5 2017, 03:40 PM) LOL that kinda harsh some cars, the intake is quite low to max cold air intake. And also those breather valve etc.. therefore easily GG even at shallow floodAnyway yes engine bay is not a total dry area. water sipping from above is far much less than from underneath. For years I park mostly open air area so rain never give me problem so far. In driving the water will splash engine more from below which is riskier. Also never try to drive even in shallowest flood found, I've seen to many got stranded just after crossing it in flood season I quite dislike iriz water leaking from windscreen cowl, i find that is stupid mistake as it makes the engine very dirty and dusty. dont forget about the fuse box which is also found near the cowl... |

QUOTE(chikuera @ Nov 19 2017, 07:34 PM) Myvi dont have the feature maybe due to cost saving, as while you need to put the speed sensor to lock automatically, you will also need another sensor to automatically unlock the door during crash, which iinm is quite hard to implement as the sensor need to adjust the lock between crash-duration (which the doors supposed to be locked to prevent drivers and passengers thrown away from the car) and after-crash (which doors should be unlocked automatically to ease rescue process). Correct me if I'm wrong this is the reason why p2 cars no autolockingI dont think most mid-size Japanese car have this feature. Not really sure but my dad's Almera doesnt have one because to implement that autolock, car makers also need to make sure it will auto unlock during accident |

QUOTE(chikuera @ Nov 22 2017, 11:31 AM) mine was rectified during my 10k service..no fuel smell after that well, that sucks if I constantly need to go back to SC just to rectify this kind of small issue. last time i go back 3x just to fix the HU and the SC is 17km away from my place. last month, approaching 40k (after 2 years approx), the problem made a comeback but maybe just a little compared to previously before sealing i think probably the sealing wears off and need to be rectified again |

QUOTE(theWeird_Weird @ Nov 23 2017, 10:13 PM) one way to test the brake boosteroff ur engine pump 4-5 times the brake, if it gets tougher to pump after each pump then so far thing is okay.. then while stepping on the brake, start the engine and see whether the brake pedal gradually sink .. if both okay, most probably ur brake booster has no problem. might need to look other place This post has been edited by N33d: Nov 24 2017, 10:25 AM |
