Have the same thoughts as u. However, my friend's Cooper S is also like this. But as someone mentioned, enabling child lock is the solution.

Anyway, drove to Ulu Yam recently. The stock tyres felt quite lack of grip, I was struggling to keep up with the Elantra in front. The tyre had screetching sound twice and during 1 of the screetch, there was something blinking on the meter clustre. I initially thought it was ESC, but the blinking light was red (ESC should be amber) and somewhere on the right side (ESC should be left). Wonder what that was. Strange car.

i wonder if we could change the car battery anywhere w/o going to the CS? battery going to die soon..

Had mine changed with bateriku.com people. So far, service centre doesn't make any noise about it

Mine lastime service is, eo,labour, gasket plug drain, spark plug and element air cleaner. No fuel filter meh

stated in service book, 30k got fuel filter. element air cleaner is an add on by the SC which you can opt not to.

Default setup cannot punye..i means bcoz the handling is good..

My last service was @ earlier 28k. Since sc expect my next service is @ 40k, they split the items:- only replace fuel filter first then spark plugs for next one. Like this my service costs divided more equally lower.

40k service itself is RM266.. + spark plugs = rm50 = RM311, how is it different?

I know my next service wont be @ 40k. It probably around 33k, so just a regular items + spark plug only. Either that or they might suggest add 40k item altogether.

May I ask how long have you guys use your stock battery? Mine is 40k km and SC told me that it is weak already and quote me RM230 for century battery, is the price ok ?

Besides, anyone replaced their steering rack bushing before? How much? I suspect it is worn out because now my steering feel loose and abit jerking.

Last time I service my car few months back, the intervals were 5k km. But when refer to the new ones, its already 10k km...

Now my car is 6k km, and i suppose to send it for service based on the notification sticker at my car. Should i wait for 10k, or just go to SC now?

some sc ask for 5k service interval for their own profit..especially appointed service dealer (3rd party)

ignore them and just go for service every 10k km..

Around 2 years, battery voltage still shows green though. I changed it cuz the battery guy said Century battery price is gonna hike up starting this year (not sure true or not). Replaced mine for RM180.
