Quite easy to DIY. You can follow the instructions here: https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+15...Replacement/670
i think any SSD will work. 256gb is about RM 400 http://www.lazada.com.my/sandisk-ssd-plus-...ve-9855196.html |

QUOTE(piscesguy @ Mar 19 2017, 02:10 PM) Take note your MBP doesn't support SATA III. Oh, okay. Thanks for the info. Therefore, the maximum throughout is 300 MB/s and you won't be able to use your SSD at full speed. Is this ok and can it fit into a macbook? Just ordinary 120gb should be enough for my usage. http://www.lelong.com.my/genuine-dell-inte...8-03-Sale-P.htm This post has been edited by Savor_Savvy: Mar 19 2017, 05:31 PM |

Size wise, I will choose 7 mm SSD for laptop usage. |

Upgraded to a SSD, Kingston UV400 at 120GB. Although the link speed is only 1.5, but i can feel its speed blazing away. Much better than ordinary 5400rpm hdd.
Should i get el capitan? How to get one? This post has been edited by Savor_Savvy: Jun 9 2017, 12:37 AM |
