There are two main reasons. First, there is an allegation that the Buddha drama leans more toward a soap opera and strays far from the original version. As a result, many rejected the 2013 version. The controversy sparked in India, Nepal, Thailand, and South Korea, leading to the banning of this drama. Even Netflix had to remove the series from its platform.
Second, there is the copyright issue. When I combined English and Chinese subtitles and upload it, I kept receiving ban notifications over the past 10 years, eventually losing my Facebook and YouTube accounts.
Deep in my heart, I believe it is a good series to introduce the life of Buddha to the public. Although the content differs somewhat from Theravada or Mahayana traditions, it is still a complete series worth passing down.
The drama seems to be made from India's production company, which is not of buddhist background. I would advise caution to propagate this in internet.Second, there is the copyright issue. There is a good Thai animated series that very closely represent the Theravada Point of view, you can try google YouTube it.
