Good morning guys!!!! I'm so happy in this boring market..... I can sleep well again! rclxm9.gif

For me, I'm thinking if the market do stabilize these few days, I will buy in a bit. Damn the premium on BTC but I guess I have no choice. Will try to hunt for a good rate on the exchanges.

QUOTE(Kidz1995 @ May 29 2017, 01:30 AM)
I see. What gpu u use right now and and if you dont mind to tell, how much profit per day u make?
Im interested in mining right now because I saw a lot of malaysian ppl sharing their gpu mining screenshot at facebook. One of them even make RM3k per month. Thats crazy, this will be a good alternative to pay my uni fees.

I already go to that website. But i dont know how to use hahaha
*
I still haven't started yet. Still researching and considering a good setup.

Oh, they share their screenshots and their profits? I would be interested to know their setup! Did you see them posting their rig configuration?

QUOTE(terradrive @ May 29 2017, 06:24 AM)
How do you guys sell your BTC and withdraw the fund into your bank account?
*
I have never sold any BTC before but you can do that in all the 4 MYR exchanges - Luno, xbit asia, remitano and localbitcoins. The info in the front page is about buying BTC using MYR but it works the same way for selling BTC, just reverse the process. Do take a look at the front page.

Don't use localbitcoins and xbit asia (only for weekdays),
bad reviews all over my groups.

See below, I have over 2000 people in my telegram groups.
*
Really? So far I have no problems with either one. No choice, I have to use whichever one has the best price at that particular time.

QUOTE(klthor @ May 29 2017, 10:39 AM)
never use that mobo before, im just learning from my friend and its fun... its more for the fun part, not really for the earning part... if i can get back my investment before those parts broke down, then im happy. about mining mobo, its better for you to look for more pci unless you do not plan to expand. heat treatment is important too, make sure to get an extra table fan and spread your gpu widely.
*
Yeah, the exciting and fun part about mining and seeing your wallet filling up with coins.

If the local shops here have all the components I need, I would have bought everything at one go.

QUOTE(zamans98 @ May 29 2017, 04:31 PM)
not sure where does the info goes wrong.. USDt is peg to USD, 1:1

U wire fund from local bank to your tehter wallet. This is 1USD = 1USDt

you fund your polo account using this USDt. it will and always be 1:1. I don;t see my USDt grew or shrink, still the same value there, even the USDt coin is at 1.04 now
CODE

Every tether is always backed 1-to-1, by traditional currency held in our reserves. So 1 USD₮ is always equivalent to 1 USD.

The Tether white paper explains in more detail the motivation for developing a dollar-pegged cryptocurrency by listing advantages to individuals using it for dollar-denominated transactions rather than using dollars held in “legacy bank” accounts

*
USDT was 1:1 with USD until the USD withdrawal problem at bitfinex which also affected Polo. USDT dropped to about 0.91 to USD at that time. Recently, it went 1.17 (I think) to USD because of BTC crash and everybody bailing out.

Due to the different ratio, exchanges that uses USDT would show slightly different prices compared to those which deals in USD.

Take a look here : https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/tether/

If you see the 3 month chart, it was recently 1:1 until mid-april where it dipped below 1.0 and recently went above 1.0.

QUOTE(zamans98 @ May 29 2017, 05:17 PM)
delayed? no, never encountered one. All within the hour.

dude, the charges is so micro... even reverse 10x. BTC values increases in time. jangan berkira sangat.
*
Average confirmation time has shot up dramatically. Take a look at the 60-days chart : https://blockchain.info/charts/avg-confirma...timespan=60days

As high as 1200 minutes!!! And that's the average! rclxub.gif

Guys, I want to share my super duper mobile miner. 12345 MH/s capable of generating 1.5 BTC per day.

Attached Image

Haha, joking joking. This is my mobile trading platform when I'm away from home - my new Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016). Bought specifically for cryptocurrency trading. rclxms.gif

Why a tablet? Compact and easy to bring about. No adapters like notebooks. Charger can use any android charger so if your phone is android, need only one charger.

Forgive the ugly OTG connector and dongle for the wireless mouse. I'm planning to buy a bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo that will directly connect to the tablet's bluetooth.

For internet, I just went to maxis to apply for multi-sim support. RM 15/month additional to my maxis package which allows me to share data on my principal line (an additional sim card in my tablet). Of course, you have the option of using other methods depending on your preference when you're not at home:

1) Public wifi - NOT recommended
2) Tether to your phone
3) Tether to USDT bruce.gif

Now I can trade when I'm away! rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif rclxm9.gif

If I understand the charts correctly, it just means that bullruns usually needs correction before going higher. Unless there are very bad news, it looks like BTC is still trending upwards.

Good morning guys! Looks like cryptocurrencies are getting back to their usual selves.

Very slow recovery. Still waiting to sell off my deep sea fishes and keep BTC.

Great to see Stratis doing well. I checked my records, first bought in a bit at 11600 and then some on the rise. Now 166870. That's already a 1400+% gain not counting BTC multiplier effect. Only in cryptos can you get such gains.

QUOTE(wengherng @ May 30 2017, 12:16 AM)
There's no moderator in this thread, so I took the liberty to create this v2 thread.
I'm not sure if there's any regulation on the maximum page or post count for a thread, since I see some threads go on for hundreds of pages.
I'm going to throw an arbitrary number here...... once this thread reaches 250 pages, I'll start v3.
Everybody OK with that?
*
wengherng, please do the honours. Just start the thread without any topics and put "in progress/reserve". You can add post and fill in whatever you can and I will reserve the rest of the post for future add-in. Let's make the front page properly this time. I will probably need to attach the pictures to a website like photobucket so that every time can just copy the whole thing and the photo will automatically display itself. Once the front page is done, then only put in the topic name.

If you just want to do the first post is also fine, I can do the rest. wink.gif

The only thing I foresee is that, like cryptocurrencies, volume in this thread is increasing biggrin.gif and will hit 2500 post quite fast...... hmm.gif

QUOTE(zamans98 @ May 30 2017, 12:17 AM)
USDt is same like Paypal or Neteller in a digital form, so you exchange your FIAT dollar to digital dollar.

Tether ---> http://tether.to/

So open account with them, get verified.
Then Wire your fund into this your account here. u can open EURO, USD and YEN. MYR is not supported.

Then you can spend your USDt to many exchange

https://www.bitfinex.com/
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/
https://poloniex.com/
https://shapeshift.io/
https://www.kraken.com/

I'm using POLO as an example. They don't allow WIRE incoming, so use alternative which is USDt.
Debit your tether wallet, credit your polo USD account.

So TL;DR

CIMB/Maybank --> Tether Wallet (Wire deduction etc) --> POLO (no charges) ---> buy BTC ---> sell BTC --> get dollar (USDt), then sent back to your Tether
Wallet (Charge 1$ per transaction)

Tether to POLO and vice-versa transactions takes as fast as BITCOIN transfer. Because it is using OMNI layer protocol.

Question led to answer by Tether. Since they PEGGED their USDt to USD, why there is big movement breakdown in USDt?
It should be always 1:1 (~ +/- few percentage is normal)
*
Let me get this straight. You can't wire MYR to your tether account but can use EURO, USD or YEN?

Your information is valuable. Do you mind if I put this information as a guide in the front page? Of course, with proper mention of contributors. wink.gif

XRP i bought it average at 14200 points, now only worth 96XX points

STR i bought it average at 17XX points, now only worth 15XX points

should i still keep it? cuz the news on both these coins is pretty negative..

Again, nobody can tell you that. You bought before everything crashed. Unless there are really bad news, I would probably just hold it. Do have a strategy to cut loss though.....

Yeah, nice point right there. I thought about this too. I think its better for me to learn BTC trading.

Thanks for helping.

As far as I know, you can't use MYR to buy ETH. You still have to buy BTC and send to an exchange that can use BTC to buy ETH.

Yeah you can mix AMD GPus in the same rig. Try not to mix AMD and Nvidia though. RX470/570 4GB could be more cost effective than RX480/580 4GB... depends on price, power costs, etc.

Cheers, all the best...!

Since I am on leave today...

I quite like what I am seeing on the charts right now - total market cap of cryptocurrencies' staying around 78B, where Ethereum's price keeps increasing, signifies that people are moving from other currencies and placing their expectations into ETH.

Eventually of course if people are done speculating and move their funds off ETH then it may start a downswing of ETH's price, but from this point onward I could see two things, 1. Many are speculating ETH to increase its price drastically and quickly; 2. There is more room for ETH to grow as the total market cap further expands.
Just my 0.2gwei. (copying you kmarc! tongue.gif)

No recommended value. It is up to you to decide depending on how comfortable you are with leaving your coins on exchanges. There are also other ways of keeping your coins but the best is still a hardware wallet.

A forumer here uses "Rule of 5" meaning if the value you hold is 5x more than the value of a hardware wallet, it would be good to get one. Hardware wallets cost about RM300-400 at the moment.
