My gemini account still in verification after a week.

Same happen with cex.io.

Is it possible to trade and deposit to gemini with the verification still pending?

For Gemini - Not able to trade. In any event, please don't risk it (the money will be frozen), and it makes you look suspicious. My verification took nearly 1 month - they are overloaded.

Have to wait then or get from coinhako.

Anyone noticed the coinhako sgd rate is more expensive than usd and myr?

BTC/USD
US$ 2,463. 84

BTC/SGD
S$ 3,545. 77 / US$2,567.66

BTC/MYR
RM 10,529. 13 / US$2,460.07

And myr rate is cheaper than usd rate.

They are singapore company but overcharge singapore customer but provide better rate for malaysia.

Yes, more expensive than Coinbase for SGD. Used to be cheaper than Coinbase- now approx 3% higher.
*
Yeah, they dare to claim that their 0.9% commision fees is cheaper than competitors.

They have jack up the buying price and advertised the cheap fees. More like a false advertisment.

I will not buying from them again if i can get my gemini account or coinbase xref account to be working again.

refering to gemini or coinhako?

Refering to coinhako rate.

It is not cheap if you use sgd to buy from them.

It is very competitive if using usd or myr.

Their buy and sell rate also have some spread %.
Is it common with other bitcoin exchanges?

As per my understanding, BTC/MYR is just a fictional number. No trading can be made.

Thanks for sharing.

I didnt noticed that because i register sg account.

Thought of using tether.to to convert usdt and buy from poliniex. It is cheaper this way.

Thether.to seem to encounter problem if you wire money from bank outside taiwan. It is in their announcement and they still trying to solve this.

So in the meantime, they announces not to wire any money from bank outside taiwan.

I found a way to purchase on Coinbase if you are in SG. Although Xfers deposit is down, here's an alternative way.
1. Deposit money to Coinhako
2. Withdraw money from Coinhako to Xfers (instant and cost $1)
3. Purchase ETH from Coinbase with your Xfers
4. Profitz!
*
I just try your method and it actually work. I had managed to withdraw from coinhako to my xfers.io account.

Actually, you can directly use your bank transfer to your xfers.io account.

You can sign up xfers.io account here from the link below.

https://www.xfers.com/sg/

After that, you can use your online bank transfer (FAST) to your xfers.io account.

You can refer instructions for online bank transfer to your xfers.io from the link below.

https://xfers.com/sg/help/how-to-transfer/

You can skip coinhako procedure and save S$1.

Thanks to Dixon93 rclxms.gif

Buying 1 bitcoins from coinbase is cheaper than coinhako and save about sgd 90.

So can Malaysians use this way?
If so then I deposit money to CIMB is the easiest? Cause don't see other local banks in the website

You will need any singapore bank account and singapore phone number.

They will send sms during registration of your xfers.io account.

Coinbase will show xfers.io account as your singapore phone number.

Beware... Xfers has been having problems with their bank (Maybank) for more than a week now. You can't transfer money in and instant withdrawal is unavailable. Normal withdrawal takes longer than 4 days and they're not replying to support tickets. You can check out all the complaints on their Facebook page.
*
Yes, i just done the transfer from coinhako to xfers.io and it was instant.

Not sure about the bank transfer to xfers.io.

I have Xfers and Coinbase account.

1) Can i topup my Coinbase account directly by topping up Xfers or
2) I have to use the topup and bank account details provided in Coinbase ? (Which is currently down for whatever reason)
*
You can register and deposit money at coinhako, then withdraw to your xfers account. The money from coinhako to xfers is instant.

You just need to put your email of your xfers account at coinhako withdrawal.

https://www.xfers.com/sg/

Please sign up your xfers.io account using your email and singapore hand phone.

That is the only workaround since xfers maybank account had problem with bank transfer.

OK thanks. Though i am more of looking at transferring from Xfers to Coinhako rather than Coinhako to Xfers.

Coinbase buy rate is definitely cheaper than coinhako.

Just that we use coinhako as proxy to transfer to xfers and buy from coinbase

Coins red is because bitcoins appreciate in price. But when you see the usd value of the altcoins remain the same.

Because if i were to buy expensive bitcoins now to exchange more altcoins is same as if i buy cheaper bitcoins yesterday to get less altcoins.

Hope someone can clarify futher.

You will only profit if you keep the bitcoins bought during cheaper period. So your profit is actually based on your bitcoin appreciation.

Anyone noticed that cex.io trade zone selling price had dropped for eth?

Previously you can sell $10 or more at cex.io than coinbase because we bought with $10 premium from cex.io.

Now the difference is only $3 and look like a $7 loss.

You're incredible.
You seem to always have an unlimited amount of cash flow to keep buying altcoins.
You're right, that is true under normal circumstances.
However, during abnormal spikes and dips, FUD causes the masses to transfer their wealth around within the cryptocurrency sphere.
For example, when bitcoin spikes, a paired altcoin should go down in the same percentage, but because many weak investors try to ride the wave, they start selling the altcoin and move the money to bitcoin, which causes the market cap of bitcoin to go up and the market cap of the altcoin to go down.
This imbalance is the mega sales opportunity that the sifus here are talking about.

That's why it's so important to do a fiat comparison before you put your money into any coin, so you know whether fresh money is coming in or out of the coin.
*
Noted, very good analysis.

The situation can be vice versa if bitcoin drop?

so it is also prudent to keep in reserve/float some BTC/USDT to buy altcoins when their prices dip.....

yes, many sifu here practice these method.

I still learning in crypto trading.

So far, my portfolio is 55% eth, 20% xrp, 20% stratis, 5% siacoin.

I think stratis can become next eth. They are compaltible with #c and .net framework with Microsoft backing.
