Vladimir Putin Is Getting Interested in Bitcoin's Biggest Rival

Ethereum, the world’s largest cryptocurrency after bitcoin, has caught the attention of Vladimir Putin as a potential tool to help Russia diversify its economy beyond oil and gas.

Putin met Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Economic Forum last week and supported his plans to build contacts with local partners to implement blockchain technology in Russia, according to a statement on Kremlin’s website.

there seem to have somekind of problem with xfers in coinhako and coinbase

you know anything about it?

I can do it Deposit via local inter-bank transfer though
*
Xfers got problem if you deposit to their maybank account.

You can deposit to coinhako DBS bank transfer, then there is an option to withdraw the fund to your xfers.

You just need to key in your xfers email account and the fund will transfer instantly with sgd 1 fees.

That's the only way to transfer fund to xfers for now.

Coinbase and Gemini buying rate is cheaper than coinhako.

If you plan to sell coins, you can transfer back to coinhako because of the higher selling price.

*
Yes, previously i had done bank transfer and my deposit arrived few days later.

Dont do bank transfer to xfers.
Use the coinhako to transfer to your xfers account.

Disruption to Xfers Maybank Service

Register at coinhako and get it verified.

since coinhako is on the premium side when buying, I will try not to transfer to coinhako for the time being

are there any way to get dbs to transfer to coinbase? as of now xfers is down ---> "Bank transfers via Xfers are temporarily unavailable at the moment"

anyway to go about? Or I will wait upon gemini to be verified
*
Bank transfer to coinhako, then transfer to xfers.

After your fund arrive at xfers, you can go to coinbase to buy bitcoins and eth.

Xfers did not belong to coinbase. It is a payment service.

Not troublesome leh. Just more steps.

Bank transfer to coinhako only take few hours.
Coinhako to xfers is instant.

It take 9 days for my gemini account to get verified.

The option to withdraw from coinhako to xfers is not available anymore.

Gemini is the best choice now.

Really sorry sweat.gif , the option still available on Monday. I didn't know they taken out that "loophole"

Anyway I just wire transfer from my DBS to Gemini for the first time.

Hopefully can receive the fund by tomorrow.

I guess the questions has been answered. Just to stress that hardware wallet DOES NOT hold any coins. Hardware wallets only hold private keys THAT  control your coins THAT  is on the blockchain THAT is floating on the internet THAT can be seen by anybody. biggrin.gif

I've mentioned it a few times before. If you ever lost your hardware wallet together with the recovery seed, you lose control of your coins. You can still see the address that holds the coins but it will be untouchable and floating on the blockchain for all eternity. Scary thought......
*
Do i need to backup the private keys on another pc or hardware wallet in case i lost the original hardware wallet?

I dont understand if you dont have any backup, how to recover them in the first place because the file is lost together with the hardware wallet.
