TWISTING MECHANISM



As you can see from both the pics above, there is this "curve" at each side of the lower part of the mobile. Its used as a "stopper" whenever u twist to diff modes. If u worry bout the twsting mechanism might break, dont worry. The built quality is real good. It felt solid. Even when u twist it, u can feel its connected firmly.




U need to twist anti clock wise until the camera mode.


For self portrait, u need to twist close wise till the camera is facing you.


For music mode, twist anti clock wise as well until a full 180degrees turn.

All modes(cam/music) takes approx 2 second to activate after the twist.

KEYPAD AND JOYSTICK


The keypads are really comfortable to use, its exactly like the 7360s keypad. A type of rubbery material was used not the old time platicky feel.

Unfortunately, the joystick is very stiff.It is made of plastic of course.
If u were to play SNAKE with the joystick, either ur thumb will sore or the joystick will break.
i might be a little over exagerating here but just bear in mind that its not as smooth as the usual Nokia joystick that i used.

The keypad backlight is white in colour and all buttons are well-lit.

CAMERA MODE

The design needs you to use ur right index finger to press the camera button which is located at the multimedia keypad (music buttons).

So, as u can see its pretty hard to u to do the settings with the joysitck using ur right index finger.


For ur right thumb as well, it felt very uncomfortable to access the joystick this way. And u cant even hold the mobile firmly.


This is the only best way i can think off but ur thumb will be covering part of the view.

So, i still havent come up with a good solution yet. Anyone could help?

BTW, the camera also can be activated without twisting the mobile.
Just click from the menu and u will be ready to take some spy shots.

I dont know what to comment on pics, but all i can say is that its not that clear.
i think its bcos of its a close up pic. Will soon take more outdoor pics for comparison.


MUSIC MODE




That is the so called 3.5mm adapter controller.
It can be connected to any models with pop port. Tried it with my N70 already.
The little rectangular black thing is a cover for the pop port when not in use.
The possibiliy of losing it is like 101%.


You might ask " what can the tiny ilttle speaker do?"

Well, let me tell u somebody first impression.
1.
When i wanna get this mobile, my fren, the seller, ask me whats great bout this nokia?
then when he heard the music played from the tiny speakers, his eyes were like this...

2.
Another staff there ask me a similiar question and she added SE has better sound.
Then when she heard the speakers ability, she took back her words and said NOT BAD at all.

As for me i was stunned, shocked, amazed.
I tried the speakers with some other models EG: N70, L7, S700i, D500C..
and the rating are:-

1. Nokia 3250
2. Moto L7
3. N70
4. D500c
5. S700i

Nokia 3250 has 4 equalizer for u to choose from Classical-Jazz-pop-Rock
Besides that usual stuff,
it has the STEREO WIDENING function and
BASS BOOST function where u can turn on / off.

U think those function are not enough?
well, it even has this REVERB function where u can choose..

Large Room
Large Hall

For eg. IF you choose Small Room,
the music will be like the sound is coming out from a small room.
You need to try it out urself to believe.

PERSONAL CONCLUSION

The Good

After using and playing with the mobile for a day, i am already in love with it. NOt only the looks but also the music player functions as well. Especially the different setting for different sound effects. But frankly, the speakers itself is good enough to impress some users.

The rubbery keypad is very easy to use and comfortable as well.

The speed of accessing the menu is faster than N70.
For EG, from main menu to gallery folder.
N70 took approx 4 seconds after click
3250 took approx 2 seconds after click


The Bad

The 2mp camera is just like the N70s, nothing to be excited about.

The joystick is pretty stiff. hard to handle.

as we all know, the 176x208 screen

No flash

The soft button is more to the middle, normally its at the far left or far right.
So sometimes might accidently pressed the app / C button as soft button.
But no big problem though.

Conclusion,
With a price tag of RRP1699. I got no regrets getting this music mobile.
Its cheaper than the competitors BUT quality and sound wise, its on par or even better.
It definitely can be called the "economical" N91.

SO for those who always think the competitors are better, why not go out, try out this nokias new baby, u will be impressed.

the barrel effect in the pic taken by the 3250 can clearly be seen, same as the sample pics from review. i wonder if its hardware problem or can it be fixed with firmware updates?
