Those driving new avanza careful, got people want to steal rims. My wife rims loose nuts and 1 rim missing 1 nut.

Anyone have idea that recently my avanza 2010 hard to start for 2nd time / 3rd time ... but went to SC checked starter & battery no problem.

Mean everyday 1st time start the car no problem, if I go somewhere then start 2nd time it feel harder to start, need to twist the key until the end, then it will sounds like "kek..kek..kek... then start".

got cranking sound....hmmm.....I feel still starter problem...suggest u take it to outside workshop....SC sometimes real ko one....they just wait till KO, then tell u that part needs to be changed....hahahah

recently my avanza idle like going to off engine, it did happened 3 times. This is because if u do lots of low speed driving like in city, carbon deposit in throttle body. So once a month put 97 ron and go for hard run. To temporary solve my issue, 3 options from most expensive to cheapest:

1) Open entire throttle body to clean
2) Use those carbon cleaning service
3) Clean the idle valve at throttle body
4) Use fuel injector clean additive in fuel
5) Ron 97

I did no. 3 and 5.

My problem :
Checked in outside workshop, they say no problem, they suspect i twist the key not enough

Ya, sometimes i have the problem too, especially after a short distance drive and stop at roadside without off engine, checked with SC and outside workshop, my engine, engine oil, petrol tank all no problem.

I did no. 1 and 2 and 3 and 5.
I did 2 while I overhaul full engine (12 months ago).

Now I change to Ron 97 already, no more use Ron 95.

Overhaul wow....what's the mileage when u did overhaul? why overhaul?

my avanza, the back aircond plastic there will rattle when go bump/uneven road, how to fix? go assesory shop tell them to open up the whole plastic part>?

Engine enter water from Air filter area/Air filter box (one of the air filter box's clip has broken) .
Overhaul around 130K km ,if not mistaken. But after few weeks, I found out the workshop did not perform full overhaul, only do certain part. Because I sent into Toyota SC checked, they showed me.

Some of the accessory shop dont know open the cover, better go to workshop check.

Anyone know which brand of lower arm can buy to have longer life span and more durable (everyday go through big pot holes )?

U can try pressing the PVC covering (the roof) sometimes is the PVC covering moving and cause the plastic to rub on each other

im not talking bout this, i mean the whole middle row ac compartment, mean the part surrounding the plastic part yr mention.

ya i suspect thr problem is this too, cuz sometime when pressing when going ueven road, it will stop rattle abit.
I planning to go acc shop tell them to take the whole cover comparment all of to see whats wrong.

yr lower arm got sound now?
i trashing my avanza like no tmr, but lower arm still good, still stock after 12 years.
but i think chg back original stock is the best.

Will be waste of money and if the broken the cover clip worst.

The center cover clip very easy to be broken.

Try put some tape or paper in between the covers .... Might stop the sound.
