3. What's familiar with these 2? The sharp decline in NTA (write off la ... this la... that la.. )  .... if u ask me.... lol.... my chin chai ball park guesstimate is... avoid the stock if the stock is not trading less than 50% NTA... this should be a so called 'value' play for the time being. )

This is how I would have weigh up the situation...

now compare to say SKpResources ...

the risk is different...
raising oil prices is no no..
raising ringgit is also no no..
and then u put into consideration that it is on a super high growth run for some time already (ie the growth runs the risk of ending soon) the risk factor is so much higher....

it's not just about trading the correct stock...
it's about managing the risk in the stock u are trading...

those 5% win stocks...
those win kfc trades...
those mucky mouse trades...
these are drugs....
They kill and they destroy whatever potential one has as a trader.

cos they tend to lose more than they win...

I have reduced my total counters to 5 already.. Consider making progress? Paper trade for learning purpose should be no harm right? From SKPRES, I learnt something new which is the risk of late stage trend..

Today I paper trade Armada at 88 cents.. cut loss 85 cents..
Armada has already turned around but the market has not re-rated the share price yet.. Consider now oil price recovered,
possible that it's share price could be re-rated and start a new uptrend.. but then, it has about 100m worth of unrealised losses..
UMWOG last quarter had a 100% rig utilisation rate.. net profit about 1m  This quarter utilisation rate will be lower.. Their contracts are short term only.. mostly few months..


once they rerate armada, i think it should be the time for them to sell it off. anyway, my average price for armada is o.7466 

umwog next quarter will have one off impairment loss as mentioned in the QR. still remember HLID reported impairment loss and it went down fiercely.

Ya. It's common but it's never a 100 reliable technical indicator. Some stocks do fall b4 the results are out but their results contradicts the prestock announcement and the stock reverses movement and shoots up after that.
