What I liked about it ... was what was written in the notes.... company operated at only half capacity but yet delivered pretty good numbers....
and the b/s looks good too.

and the charts... I noted ... or imo ... the chart was actually have a decent uptrend .... it consolidated in Feb after the earnings (perhaps the market was expecting much more) ..... but then C19 March correction hit ..... which brought the stock tumbling down.... if I was aware of the stock... I would have gone in big on this fella.

Hahaha.... TQ!

However, it's my preference not to use indicators. wink.gif

Anyway, technically the chart showed the railway track...
and technically, like in all breakout and breakdown, the trader should have waited for the breakout action, which DID not happen.

Time to mark this out as a loss at 7.42.

1. Although it's a paper trade, I shall strike the trade out at 7.42. A loss of 8 sen.

2.The whole idea apparently was enter the stock and profit from the interim dividend. Sell the stock b4 the stock goes EX.

and as personally witnessed in other stocks, such plays are risky. And in the supposedly most safest dividend play stock, this play failed.

3. The whole idea for the trade is just wrong and it would be even more wrong for me to start looking for a reason and turn the trade into an investment. Yup, although it's a fake, I cannot and will not cheat myself. Pointless ya.. Man up. Own up to the bad trade.

4. Habis cerita.

Maybank, Public Bank, CIMB, HL, RHB takes up almost a whopping 25 - 30% of KLCI index weightage

no matter how government also will support geh
*
Why need to think like this? rolleyes.gif

Do you know that such assumption is so risky?

PBBank fell from 25++ to ______
CIMB fell from 5++ to __________
Maybank fell from 10++ to __________

ahem...... see the point?

If one had assumed that govt will support.... why had these 3 banks fell so much, so hard lately? where was the support?

EPF ah?

and then ... there's the TG and EPF story.... devil.gif

Remember that many weren't to happy cos how could they have the TG boss as independent advisor and epf buying TG shares? rolleyes.gif

That doesn't sound right, yes?

So EPF listened to critics... and they did disposed a lot of their stake in TG .... ohmy.gif

disposal price was 6++ ..... ouch!

i would ASSUME that KLCI will be supported at 1200-1400 pts, with the exception of market crash globally

There is no point for them to support the market when it is trading at 1600-1800

from the past history government and EPF have been played a part in stabilizing the market. of cause with the exception of Maybank during 08-09, and also on 97-98 when malaysia had the very first panic recession

Speculation at it's best smile.gif

I'm just sharing what i see and observe from the past
*
Speculation at it's best meh?

You did not address the risk properly.

Ok... you are assuming the part of the EPF...

so how good are the EPF guys/gals and how good are the sub-fund managers who are they assign?

Look at the posting right above yours... it's on TG and EPF.
Did you not see the price they disposed....

Which brings us the simple logic question... if so good... why they dispose at so low price? wink.gif

Ok... talk banks.... talk Maybank.

Last transaction EPF did was on the 24th Aug. Acquiring 2,000,000 shares.
On the 25th Aug, EPF tambah minyak, acquiring some 750,600+ shares...

Maybank announced its Q earnings without dividends on the 27th Aug. No interim dividends.

LOL! Is that support? Or did EPF itself speculated that Maybank would announce some interim dividend?

How? Conclusion on these recent transaction by EPF on Maybank?
Refer to the dates on the chart... ask yourself.... was EPF supporting Maybank stock prices or were those buggers just speculating on the interim dividend? whistling.gif
