info from my converted friend.
SG license valid to be used in MY at the same time it is also authorised & recognised by JPJ.
No point holding 2.
*
It is only valid if you drive sg car or rent a MY car.
I think I read somewhere, not sure it's JPJ website or not, forget d, u can't drive private own MY car with sg license.
But of course, my fren also told me no one bothered, still drive his MY car as usual.

yeah kena chopped de...i totally ignore all the agents there laugh.gif
in system, your license is consider "suspended" de even though u still hold your physical license...
which i also since they didn't take back  innocent.gif

Nope, not those agent, i also ignore all of them.
It's the JPJ officer, the one at the counter who give you forms & queue number.
After i pay him 50, he straight took my ic into the office and fill up the form for me, after a while he pass me the filled form and ask me straight submit to the payment counter, no queue.

Anyone has experience to apply PR/LTVP for your newborn?
I checked ICA website, it requested for digital photo. How to take a passport photo for newborn with their requirement? I cannot ask my 1 month old daughter to open her eye when I am at the shop right? Some more I have to carry her and I myself will be in the photo as well right? Anyone?

Hi all, I have a bus ticket on 29 March, 7:45PM, from Little India Arcade to KL Sentral to let go.
The bus is Qistna Express. Bought on easybook.com with the price of sgd38, willing to let go at lower price.
I could not make it for this trip, my loss is your gain smile.gif

Would like to check with those has experience in LTVP application for child.
I just submitted LTVP application for my newborn daughter and status is pending. But I would like to bring her out to JB for doctor appointment, would I be able to return to Singapore on the same day without issue? Since her DE card number is tie to her LTVP application, and there's is a 30+30 days extension been given by ICA. I suppose if I depart SG and get a new DE card, the extension will be gone?

Don't know who/where to ask this question, been calling ICA for 2 days and line is busy got cut off. Email take forever to reply. sad.gif

Not sure about the LTVP application
However, based on what ICA told me the last time, the extension will be gone.
You will need to reapply for the extension.

Mind pm if your friend was in information security role there?
*
Attended one of their interview for sys admin role.
From my point of view, it is mean for young/single/fresh engineer. Because they expect you to work on odd hour (midnight server patching, maintenance), 24/7 on-call rotation, leave SG (yea, including if you want to go JB for shopping) need to inform your superior, they could ask you to work in Changi hospital this week and next week you might be re-locate to Jurong hospital.

I get that if you are smart, outstanding, then probably you could be promoted very fast, a lot of opportunity there.
But not for me, I am old and family is my number 1 now, IT job in IHIS just need to much commitment.

I don't have OT as well, for my 10 years+ working life, never come across any OT pay. And I do understand the situation "finish your job before you go home". But that depends what kind of job, if it's urgent (e.g. month end closing, IT support which you must fix and get it work immediately) and cannot wait until tomorrow, no choice you have to finish it before you leave. If the work can wait until tomorrow, why would I need to stay back to OT?

Leave 30 mins - 1 hr after office hour seems the norm from boss/management point of view, leave on time = bad & lazy employee. But what if everyday I am late to work 30 mins? Is the boss ok? I think 5 mins boss also kpkb. If the company expect me to report to work on time, why can't I leave on time as well? Those that stay back in office for nothing but to act like a hardworking employee, I feel sorry for them for their stupidity. I only have 24 hours a day and limited amount of life time, I would rather go home spend time together with my love one than sitting in the office to waste my precious limited time.

Guys,

Asking opinion.
My housemate is moving out and he has to take away the broadband,
Can I subscribe without contract as I could be in SG for the remaining 8 months only.

My condo is at Serangoon.
Could you guy suggest which broadband service?
*
MyRepublic has non-contract package, but slightly expensive at 59.9/mth.
So far i am satisfy with their service.

SGD60 per months quite OK.
Any starting fee including cost to purchase router?
*
No sure what is their detail terms and condition, i think they are some extra charge (e.g. installation fee, router fee etc.)
better just head over to MyRepublic website or contact them directly, they are quite prompt with inquiry.

Came across the following requirement for citizen application in ICA website
QUOTE
Have been a Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) for at least two years

Meaning PR status need to be at least 2 years (calculate from the date of issue of PR IC) by the time you submit citizen application online?
Or you can submit within 1 year of become PR, since the citizen processing time takes 1 year+ ?
Couldn't find any answer for this.
