k to put it simply...
the 20w amp is stuck in no mans land. its too loud for bedroom, and too soft for anything else. so you can always look at the ever popular roland microcube, or vox DA-5 if bedroom is all you want. |

QUOTE(svrockstar @ Mar 3 2007, 10:55 PM) well im not really sure ...cos the guy say when strumming on humbuckers its very heavy so its not nice ....then he say can switch the humbucker to single coil humbuckers like this can switch to use single coil.... (......) (......) and humbuckers like this cannot I......I I___ I i know LP doesnt have H-S-H and S-S-H... just saying i want something tht looks like LP I dont quite follow the "diagram" above. My washburn is H-H, and "supposedly" can coil tap, ie change to single p/u via the push-pull pot. What I mean by "supposedly" is that the standard neck humbucker is not a 4 conductor wire (I think), hence cannot. But I plan to get and install a Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker with 4 conductor wire. Then I can get a REAL single pickup sound |

He means that 20 watts is too loud so 15watts or 16 watts would be ideal for room practice. You might want to check out harmony in uptown, they should still have stock for it. In my opinion the Microcube is better than the Cube 15 since it models amps and not stomp boxes.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 3 2007, 10:33 PM) cheaper godin guitars usually have bodies made from poplar. i'm just wondering, what are the tonal characteristics of the poplar wood on guitars? ie. same material as the older fender mexican models. now fender mexican are using traditional alder like US. so basically you're just paying more for its 'assembled in the US tag'. |

LP-100 is a bolt-on, body is much thinner etc.
so you will not get the full LP experience. |

So, basically you're buying a guitar because of the looks?
I'm damn happy with my LP-100 actually.... mostly due to the fact that it's a much lighter then my ZW LP and also with the EMGs.... it sounds brutal as well. Yes.... It's not the traditional LP tone, but it's quite close. |

How does it feel? comfortable? Size, shape, cutting ? Hows the weight? Hows the neck feel? (its a 12" radius fingerboard) Is it bolt-on, bolt-in, set-neck, etc? Hows the sustain? Hows the frets? Easily accessible? Hows the trem? Hows the tone? Hows the looks, finishes,... etc The SD is a 24.75" scale guitar. Do you prefer it over 25.5"? Maybe feel no different Just few things you can consider knowing Interested to know your personal opinion Appreciate if you could share. nb: on neck construction, can read info from http://www.edromanguitars.com/tech/neckconstruction.htm (nb: the view and opinion on neck constructions are of ed romans personal view.
