most people go for monitors for the refresh rate.
there's hardly any ghosting to speak of when jumping to a high end monitor-4k or otherwise.
but if you're not looking to play a game competitively, there's hardly any reason to go for a monitor; at least IMO.
at home I'm using a 55"KS7000, which I'm sitting about 2 feet away. the size takes a little bit of an adjustment, coming from a 50"W800b, but feels just right after a day or two of gaming.
back in my hometown, i recently bought a "gaming" monitor which is fairly low end, but still something alot of "pro gamers" claim is better than a TV.
I'm not impressed.
Something about having the size of the screen vs a 27" monitor...it just doesn't compare.
anyway, as others have mentioned; if you're going to upgrade, be sure it's HDR enabled. don't just look at the resolution of the screen.
There's a reason Sony pushed HDR instead of 4K when announcing the PS4Pro.
I find this very odd.
On my monitor I had to bump up my control sensitivity up 2 notches-from medium to very high before i can feel as comfortable on the monitor as I am with my TV.
no idea why..it has nothing to do with the frame rate either, the controls just feel way more responsive on my TV.
Alright, now I know, TV it is then, for my PS4 Pro. I haven't really seen what HDR is all about yet, but it seems that everyone is talking about it when it comes to 4K TV, so it must be important I suppose. Guess I just have to wait until I get a 4K TV only can see it for myself what it is all about. Thanks man.there's hardly any ghosting to speak of when jumping to a high end monitor-4k or otherwise.
