Hi Sifus, I'm planning to upgrade my cpu to 7800x3d and would like your recommendation for motherboards.

Looking for the best value and if not much price difference for future proofing may also consider. Wifi is not important for me as I use LAN cable for internet so if there's a cheaper one would be great as well.

i believe 2 point game series doesnt require as much raw cpu performance as cities skylines / dyson sphere program / x4 foundations / transport fever 2 ?

SATA SSD is pretty much stuck since 2 years ago. Market moved on to NVME and manufacturer no longer make new controller for refresh. We are left with DRAM-less models without HMB (SATA has no HMB capability after all).

Yeah, that is one of the annoying thing. We have limited PCI-E lanes. With PCI-E 5.0, we could even go for x1 M.2 slots, but this would cause discontent among those with old SSDs. There are also board area constraint & manufacturing complexity (+ some other practical reasons) when we start looking for backside slots.

But you since you are still on AM4, just move on to a B850 with 3x NVMe slots. ASRock has plenty of options except of the infamous unknowingly dead processor issue.  MSI B850M Mortar is pricey but it checks.

Budget very low for high refresh rate 1440p. It will definitely go past RM7k.

Just cannot get X3D. GPU still more important.

Avoid. Won't touch China product as there are always some hanky panky going on, i.e. unknown flash chip that they wipe off the original silk screen (or outright doesn't even need to do since those are defective chip, so original manufacturer will just dump them away) and put on their own label. Ideally find those brands that produce the flash chip themselves as it is inhouse supply.
The SLC cache reduces as you store data into it. This amount also decreases way faster than TLC since you only have effectively half the amount for SLC mode at any time.

Unfortunately it is out of stock. RM1299 is worth it! You still need at least Ryzen 7000 or Intel 14th gen for it to work properly as well.

Good luck. B580 is not available anywhere in this world at MSRP, that is if you can even get stock. Deswai no point to reco a nonexistent GPU when others ie 5060 is affordable and available and Geforce stocks are getting better with time.

The 7600xt extra VRAM still cant save its 1% lows so it still performs like shit vs 5060


And of course 7000series still has pisspoor RT perf


7600XT is hard to reco at such prices with these poor perf inspite of the VRAM. Again the GPU just doesnt have the horsepower to make use the VRAM buffer. Meanwhile 5060 is on another tier. If 7700XT was same price then I prefer that instead. Too bad radeon prices here are shit.

....and even that one isn't that much of a value either....
