do i need to prepare extra budget for any sound/network cards? Or are they actually integrated in the motherboard already?
*
these are integrated and decent enough for general usage.

With the releasing of gtx 3 series and consoles (xbox x and ps5) tentatively on october/november 2020, will it significantly lower the price of hardware pc?

Thanks!

Avoid A320 boards at all cost. They are low quality.

what's wrong with pairing it with Ryzen 3000G or Athlon 200GE?

That being said, I'd just go for a decent 500W instead:

Is it worth to get 5800X now since my preferred 5900X and 5600X is still out of stock everywhere? 5700X rumors to come out later in January too but I have everything apart from CPU, Mobo and PSU now.
*
depends on your urgency. i will wait for a more mature bios first.

I probably can wait a few more months. If i dont get the Ryzen 3600, I would probably consider the latest Zen 3. What about the Ryzen 5000 series, specifically the 5600X? Are the current prices for it reasonable?
*
no. please don't support scalpers.

CS3030 got heat spreader on top? I thought that would be CS3030X
Mine is CS3030 and it doesn't have a heat spreader, only a sticker.

As for installing the nvme without frozr shield, I think that would be fine. Both the shield and heat spreader on the nvme function the same.

QUOTE(clon12 @ Jan 17 2021, 06:38 PM)
Ah my bad, I thought the sticker is called heat spreader. If it’s fine to install the frozr shield directly on it then ok. Was wondering that haha. Thanks
*
some variant comes with heat spreader? hmm.gif

Ahh yes, this is what I meant. There seems to be two variants judging from the photos sold by Topmaid on Shopee. The sticker perhaps is an older variant of the CS3030. If it comes with the heat spreader should/can I even install the m.2 shield on top of it?  hmm.gif
*
if it comes with heatspreader, there is no need to install the one from your motherboard.

Guys, is it worth to buy parts at shopee? Or better build complete at shop? Coz im pretty sure there is little chance to do rma right?

Thinking to build after intel 11 out in march. Now its totally not worth to build.
*

I'd say try your luck at snagging a 3060 on launch day (Feb 25th overseas, should be same in Malaysia as well based on 3070/3060Ti launch).
Prices rumoured to be around 2k.
*
RM2999 seems more possible

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Feb 20 2021, 12:37 AM)
Are you fine with prebuilts?  The shortages and high prices of DIY PC parts mean it might be better to look for a prebuilt machine instead icon_idea.gif

prebuilts like Dell? Dell is scalping too. biggrin.gif

8 cores, 16 threads.

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark...-intel-qpi.html

Core i9-10900K or Ryzen 7 5800X will stomp it. You have to go Ryzen route if you need to use ECC RAM.
*
Core i9-10900K similar in performance to E5-2660 ?? sweat.gif

Also, ASRock's Intel boards are not very good, due to underpowered VRMs (won't be a problem for that CPU though) icon_idea.gif
*
what board is better at that budget (RM580)?

QUOTE(TristanX @ Apr 19 2021, 12:03 PM)
Many parts very expensive now. Even RAM prices are going up. GPU is the worst. Like I said earlier, only Dell or Alienware is viable if you want a GPU.
*
but why do people say you can buy gpu at MSRP if buying a complete rig?
