My TC first service A at 6.5k in 5 1/2 months. So combine service with 10k/6months first service.

Next service in another 10k or 6 months (Will combine service again)

Same service interval like 1.8.. no need to go extra trips. smile.gif
*
how u reach so low...
i only clocked 1900km now...but the minder shows 6000 left...means mine will be at 7900 later...
dunno i will be same range as yours... lol

QUOTE(berann @ Apr 22 2017, 03:16 PM)
Why 7900? Your actual mileage now 1900km and your minder already drop 4000km. Meaning when your minder reach 0 (due for service)..your actual mileage will be about 4650km only. You must b driving a lot on traffic jam.  brows.gif

Dont worry, my car when new.. the minder drop very fast vs actual.  After first service.. now drop slower .. easily hit 7500km for every 10k in the minder. (Mostly city drive & traffic jam)
*
half of the journey travelled is stop-go or jam so far... been thinking now how to avoid...
Honda ask us not just to use Econ...but use minder to remind...
find a smooth route to drive is better in long run...mind u... biggrin.gif

Been driving civic for quite a while and first time driving cvt car, and I find that the paddle shifter is unless when pairing with cvt gearbox, basically when u downshifting, it don't slow down your car much like normal auto gearbox, the rpm just hitting high but don't feel the lower gears pulling your car.. I guess it proved that cvt actually don't have gears at all.. I miss my old car's 5AT when doing downshifting..
*
Try shift 2 gears down mate... tongue.gif

Oooo, if let say i doing together with 10k interval, so i will be save the cost abit?
*
save the labour...not the servicing parts/lubricants
so if u trash it hard and moving each interval closer to each other...u still pay more on servicing over same period of time vs those with static interval
but anything between 7-10 is not a big deal....if u owned one before that have to do every 5... lol

Malaysian Civics only has VSA (traction control) i don't think we have AHAS for local assembly Honda. I feel Mazda wins hands down on this particular area.

I still love my Civic though  biggrin.gif
*
i don't see any reason why not...
its part of the brake mechanism anyway, just like EBD, so technically it should be part of VSA...but whether our ECU is configured to manage that i can't tell... pls post this to bobby and or KN Wong to get answer from HM? lol

anyway...compare to mazda, its a brake-controlled vectoring
Mazda is throttle-controlled...
1 pull, 1 push...which 1 better i really have no comment

You are spot on. in overseas models AHAS is configured using the existing VSA  mechanism but for some reason we don't get it here. We also don't get other bells and whistles like collision prevention and lane assist for the premium model.
*
any way to confirm on the AHA?? lol, coz i can't really tell if they enabled or not in real life...not dare to test..... tongue.gif

all the bells you raised are part of HONDA SENSING...
i remember seeing from Honda US it can be part of optional upgrade, by adding $1000
definitely putting this in for us is more beneficial vs the remote-start... lol...if we talk about safety first...

if HM offer as optional upgrade... i might choose to go for the SENSING instead of pay that extra to go from TC to TC-P

My SA warned me before that we cannot simply disconnect the battery. If you do that it will mess with something, maybe it's the computer stuff will reset. Even when changing a weak battery got special way to change. Anyone can verify this?
*
Yes and no in some way...
but any good technician can help u swap it while its running..so u don lose any settings...

Totally agree. Remort start is there to show off smile.gif and i can do without the crappy gps. But as usual we pay more to get less when it comes to buying cars here. Btw Singapore Premium Civics comes with lanewatch.
*
which is why tempt me to just settle with TC, as the other additional either not needed (i owned before dual zone, barely used, Navigation even worse, prefer go with Google Maps/Waze/Apple Maps)
the only goodies is the LED, which is upgradable to my sense (just need to wait for stable factory stock release out wild from Taiwan/Thailand), and cost lesser than acquire from HM.
but Sensing...if they were given, i won't hesitate to go extra for it...

hi,

appreciated your kind reply.

based on the article in the net for 1.5TC, claims 5.6L = 100km

is it true?

roughly for city driving, how many litters for 100km?
*
What makes the 1.5 stand out is when its torque outperform the 1.8
if you able to sustain the optimum torque, it can almost certain your FC will be better than 1.8
to me its rpm has to be within 1.5k-2.5k rpm
so its not about city drive, but rather how much time u need spend in those range or out of...
traffic jam or back-to-back driving definitely help burn more...
i tried driving at 50-60, or 120, and can still seeing the estimation at cluster there going higher figure...
so yea... 5.6 is do-able...depends on your driving condition...
i could not sustain for it as half of my journey usually stuck into b2b jam... bangwall.gif

By the way is it necessary for us to get security tinted or normal tinted ? I got no idea whether need to get or not

The tinted shop quote me 3package in 4mil, 5mil and 6mil .... Price from 1k plus to 3k

Any idea ?
*
i used to have a solar film (non-security), then got-break-in, easily break into pieces
later stick 1 security.... not break-in, but get chip from those grass cutter...
the window instantly crack into pieces, but because with security 1, all hold intact...
later when go for replacement....technician move the power window down a bit to pull it out in one piece...
holding quite well....

given safety concern nowadays....i would recommend u at least go with 4mil security...
