But they are really picky they would might also ask what fuel are these transportation using?
It doesn't matter, because even if the fuel is 2x as bad as their private car's fuel (just as example), the fact that capacity and efficiency is orders of magnitude higher means more environmentally friendly. Especially once you consider the environmental cost of car manufacture (this is what makes ride-sharing more environmentally friendly).

It's about scale/efficiency. But now I'm going OT di.

I mean it's free welfare but when you float ron95, that RM30 is just going to cover the increase in ron95 price only..
*
That's.... exactly the point of this RM30. It's not meant to increase BSH, it's just to cover the increase in RON95 price from floating. Targetted subsidy instead of blanket subsidy.

In theory, they should do nothing, as it is time they tax back?

Cant subsidize everyone forever
*
Now is the best time to float it like they were planning end of last year before they chickened out.

Anyway they won't tax back because current SOP is once it drops below 2.08 then they let it float till it goes back above 2.08.

Perhaps best way to avoid subsidy is for Ringgit to appreciate significantly, then petrol will be cheaper in RM =p

At rm4.60 per liter RON95, wonder road traffic would drop tremendously.

Possibly. Also possibly mogok in the streets.
