Reading someone posting their temp for cpu hitting up to 100dC, i am wondering what is the normal temperature for i5 6500.
I did some test it was up to 70dC, it is normal or too hot for Malaysia environment? As i read online @ 70dC it is at max recommended temperature..

Please check the CPU cooler is working optimally ie clear out any dust etc. You may also want to consider cleaning out the current thermal compound and re-apply. Btw, I am assuming your case is properly ventilated too ie in-take fans and exhaust fans. If not, open the side panel and see if temp drops

70c is pretty normal if using stock cooler. Just make sure it don't go up to 80c. If it does then you need to look for way to improve your cooling system.
If you are using Cyrorig M9i like in your signature then it is a bit high. Maybe look at improving the overall air flow of your case.

Test was done using AIDA64 i think.. to full run all cores 100%. It hit 71dC for 8hrs.
Gaming i remember around 50 to 60.
Normal? As still something wrong with my cpu cooler?

As still something wrong with my cpu cooler? Ah.....if the temp of 70C is when running load test, ok la. I thought 70C was when idle, die lor. 50-60 during normal gaming usage is quite normal Case ventilation, I usually recommend 2 intake fans for front panel and 1 exhaust fan either at rear or top rear. Make sure you have fans for airflow rather than static pressure for case ventilation.

Dont be too scared. Intel cpu will throttle clock speed and worst case shut itself down if overheat . 80+c is still ok actually. I ran my old i5 2500k at tht temp for so many years and its still alive. If you dont oc at all, dont waste money buy 3rd party cooler. No benefit at all other than feel good factor. Intel stock cooler is quiet and able to cool the motherboard vrm too unlike tower coolers

Try changing the thermal paste first and reevaluate. no, just stock no overclocking. my room temp probably around 26c. i did reapply the thermal paste a couple time recently with cooler master pro thermal. the currently idle temperature i get is like i stated 50-52c during idle. is that normal? i was thinking on replacing it with evo 212 if the temperature abnormal. what would you suggest? Its normal but on the high side. I have another pc on stock cooler running 45-50c with one exhaust fan in a room with temp around 30c. Evo 212 or cryroig c7 is good if you're running at stock only.

Well I am using i5 6500 and the idle temp varies from 27-29c.
Using CM Hyper 212X and I hate it when I have to dismantle the unit and replace thermal paste. The assembly part is quite difficult when your mobo is in your case lol.
