Reading someone posting their temp for cpu hitting up to 100dC, i am wondering what is the normal temperature for i5 6500.

I did some test it was up to 70dC, it is normal or too hot for Malaysia environment? As i read online @ 70dC it is at max recommended temperature..

Test was done using AIDA64 i think.. to full run all cores 100%. It hit 71dC for 8hrs.

Gaming i remember around 50 to 60.

Normal? As still something wrong with my cpu cooler?

that look pretty normal.  laugh.gif
is not normal when you leave idle & temp is 60-80.
then you need to check your cooler placement & etc

Ah.....if the temp of 70C is when running load test, ok la. I thought 70C was when idle, die lor. 50-60 during normal gaming usage is quite normal

Case ventilation, I usually recommend 2 intake fans for front panel and 1 exhaust fan either at rear or top rear. Make sure you have fans for airflow rather than static pressure for case ventilation.

Dont be too scared. Intel cpu will throttle clock speed and worst case shut itself down if overheat .
80+c is still ok actually. I ran my old i5 2500k at tht temp for so many years and its still alive. If you dont oc at all, dont waste money buy 3rd party cooler. No benefit at all other than feel good factor. Intel stock cooler is quiet and able to cool the motherboard vrm too unlike tower coolers

Bought for feel good factor whistling.gif

Idealtech is their single source importer fro MY.. check at garage sales. To be honest.. it worth every ringgit i spend on the their coolers so far..
