Moreno can't even pass the ball to the back of the net, I think I could have done better tongue.gif
Wijnaldum having a poor run of form lately, didn't do much with the ball moving forward, play a lot of safe passes.
Can was superb today, just give him a new contract already!
Firmino with yet another crucial goal, what a player!

Is it only me or we really move Origi wide to let Firmino operates where he is best?

Every time the ball went to Origi I know we were gonna lost it, and I think 99% of the time I was right. Good physique, but terrible application. Better just move him to the wings and use his speed instead. At least can bully FB who are normally smaller than CB.

Ironic that we score off a 2nd ball from set piece  rolleyes.gif

He's hold up play is terrible, one of the worst I've seen. He's so tall and big but he can't protect the ball and end up losing it 99.99% of the time. Should let him study Lukaku, he's hold up play is one of the best. rclxms.gif

Yes, precisely. Not a CF material at the moment. Let him play the nominal winger, so he has better chance of beating his immediate opponents. Be it for strength, jumping or speed. Just let him play ala Walcott, sole purpose is to score, not to beat him man and cross. Oh yea, dont think he can cross too.
*
Boby who's physically smaller than Origi seems to win more headers and challenges, shows how terrible Origi is.

Hart is not good enough for Liverpool, and so is Mignolet. Migs has been here for more than 3 years now and he's yet to improve and he's very very inconsistent. If we're serious about challenging for any title next year, he shouldn't be our number 1, but with that said, I really don't know any decent goal keepers that are available atm.

QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Apr 17 2017, 04:24 PM)
For me it would be CB>LB>Winger>MF (Lallana role)>ST

Think Klopp is set with Hendo as first choice holding midfielder and Can as option there. Can is clumsy with the ball and not particularly crafty either. So a more defensive role is more suited to him given his physicality. I think next season we might see more of Grujic if he is lucky with injuries. He can challenge Gini for a spot. What we urgently need is someone with some offensive creativity to step in for Lallana or even take Gini's first team spot. Naby Keita is the ideal signing but signing him would be very tough.

Milner has done alright as a makeshift LB but his reliance on his right foot meant our offense is severely handicapped on the left. Defenders know he is gonna cut to his right every time providing no width whatsoever. The fact that we are linked with a 16 year old Ryan Sessegnon as our first choice LB target this summer is worrying.

CB is needed for obvious reasons. Lovren has shown again last night that despite being able to do a job, he has a tendency to make a mess of a situation. He had multiple near fuck ups last night with his control/passing.

Winger because Mane is our only winger in the team. Ojo has yet to prove himself.

Striker because I think Sturridge is done here, unfortunately. Origi is not at that level yet. And while Firmino has been good, he is not a striker. His chance conversion % is actually pretty woeful. His biggest strength is his tenacity which helps in games against the top teams but against the smaller ones who would just sit back, a proper striker might be a better option long term.
Definitely this. Sure he might be an upgrade over Mignolet, but only so slightly. City's asking price is a whopping 25-30M too. No way he is worth that price.
Ederson from Benfica.

Keita would be perfect for our midfield wouldn't he? And it seems there's serious interest in him too, hope we can pull it off.
Sturridge case is quite sad huh, all these injuries really affected his pace. He seems so slow nowadays, imagine Cou and Mane out wide, Firmino playing behind prime and injury free sturridge, we could have caused some serious damage! blush.gif

All these GK talk makes me miss Reina. He's the only keeper that can straight provide an assist from goal kick or just a throw down to opponent's half tongue.gif

You know what's worse? Klavan is out too. He might be slow but he is ideal for big strikers like Benteke. With Lucas also possibly out, we might see Lovren and Gomez starting this weekend. Guess you will finally see if Gomez really is better than Klavan.
*
Of course would still prefer Matip to start than Gomez. but fuck man our team is so injury prone. Even if we bring in a top CB like Van Dijk next season, high chance we could see Lucas partnering him lol wtf.

Nah I'm talking about Klavan vs Gomez. If Klavan is fit would you start Gomez ahead of him against Palace?

Funny thing is Van Dijk's been injured since January. What if we bring in another injury prone defender?  biggrin.gif
*
Last night I actually searched about Van Dijk's injury haha, I don't think he's injury prone, just one of those things la.
As for Gomez vs Klavan, I don't feel save having any of them pairing with Lovren. If pairing with Matip then for sure Gomez ahead of Klavan.

We definitely won't look into the keeper in this short term, IF we DO reach our goal to qualify CL

Klopp did mention a centerback area it's possible to look into.

We definitely need proper quality reinforcements, come on WE are not involved in Europe, only domestic games and yet our list of injuries are as many as those teams involved in European games.
*
If it wasn't for all the injuries our first 11 are actually pretty solid, but a few injuries here and there and our team look like mid table line up again bangwall.gif

Sturridge apparently a doubt for Palace game. I'm so sick of this tin man playing for our club, get paid just to lay on the treatment table all day wtf.

Same old same old. He should be the first player to be sold this summer. Then Hendo, who has incurable injury and need pain killer to play. But.. well, they are english.
*
No chance is Hendo leaving. He's a solid player. Our midfield is so much more fluid with Hendo, Lallana and Wijnaldum playing together, although Can has improved in recent games.

Not saying he is bad player. Sturridge also good player. Hendo stabilized our midfield, give balance between def n atck. But that's when he play. Most of the time he's out injured. Already missed over 40 games since 2015 and he'll be out for the rest of this season.

Since you said this:

So hendo and ngs also should be offloaded. Rite?
*
Didn't really realized Hendo missed so much games these few seasons. He's injury always seems to be something serious but with Sturridge it's always little knicks and knocks which frustrates me a lot, and he's the best striker in our team.
