Is it only me or we really move Origi wide to let Firmino operates where he is best?

Every time the ball went to Origi I know we were gonna lost it, and I think 99% of the time I was right. Good physique, but terrible application. Better just move him to the wings and use his speed instead. At least can bully FB who are normally smaller than CB.

Yes, precisely. Not a CF material at the moment. Let him play the nominal winger, so he has better chance of beating his immediate opponents. Be it for strength, jumping or speed. Just let him play ala Walcott, sole purpose is to score, not to beat him man and cross. Oh yea, dont think he can cross too.

For me it would be CB>LB>Winger>MF (Lallana role)>ST

Think Klopp is set with Hendo as first choice holding midfielder and Can as option there. Can is clumsy with the ball and not particularly crafty either. So a more defensive role is more suited to him given his physicality. I think next season we might see more of Grujic if he is lucky with injuries. He can challenge Gini for a spot. What we urgently need is someone with some offensive creativity to step in for Lallana or even take Gini's first team spot. Naby Keita is the ideal signing but signing him would be very tough.

Milner has done alright as a makeshift LB but his reliance on his right foot meant our offense is severely handicapped on the left. Defenders know he is gonna cut to his right every time providing no width whatsoever. The fact that we are linked with a 16 year old Ryan Sessegnon as our first choice LB target this summer is worrying.

CB is needed for obvious reasons. Lovren has shown again last night that despite being able to do a job, he has a tendency to make a mess of a situation. He had multiple near fuck ups last night with his control/passing.

Winger because Mane is our only winger in the team. Ojo has yet to prove himself.

Striker because I think Sturridge is done here, unfortunately. Origi is not at that level yet. And while Firmino has been good, he is not a striker. His chance conversion % is actually pretty woeful. His biggest strength is his tenacity which helps in games against the top teams but against the smaller ones who would just sit back, a proper striker might be a better option long term.
Definitely this. Sure he might be an upgrade over Mignolet, but only so slightly. City's asking price is a whopping 25-30M too. No way he is worth that price.

You know what's worse? Klavan is out too. He might be slow but he is ideal for big strikers like Benteke. With Lucas also possibly out, we might see Lovren and Gomez starting this weekend. Guess you will finally see if Gomez really is better than Klavan.

Funny thing is Van Dijk's been injured since January. What if we bring in another injury prone defender?

Same old same old. He should be the first player to be sold this summer. Then Hendo, who has incurable injury and need pain killer to play. But.. well, they are english.

Not saying he is bad player. Sturridge also good player. Hendo stabilized our midfield, give balance between def n atck. But that's when he play. Most of the time he's out injured. Already missed over 40 games since 2015 and he'll be out for the rest of this season.
