Say what you want about Mignolet, but he's been very good since he came back in for Karius.

Yeah man. Could easily have been game over after that suicidal back header and a completely deflating equaliser so soon after scoring our second.

Wijnaldum.

Assisted both LFC and Bornemouth in midweek.

Thanks goodness!
Our defense needs sorting, Klavan and Lovren out.
Can deserve a new contract, much more than Lovren.

Lovren was terrible today, made at least 2 mistakes that could have led to a goal. Wouldn't want him anywhere near out first 11 next season, and definitely wouldn't want Klavan anywhere near our club next season.

Apparently Can's been playing under pain for much of this season because of lingering injuries. But because we are SO lacking of options he has no chance no rest and assess his situation. Maybe it would be fairer to judge his performances next season if we get some reinforcements this summer, hopefully.

Gini has actually been alright apart from that suicidal header. Still got an assist and got forward well at times. That said, he really is just an above average player. I think we overpaid for him, and I don't mind having him in our squad as he has been proven to be very effective in home games especially against the top teams. But it becomes a problem when such player becomes your main player starting week in week out. Same goes for Klavan. He really isn't that bad if you would consider him as a 4th choice backup. Problem is both Matip and Lovren have been in and out of the lineup due to injuries forcing the likes of Lucas and Klavan playing more often than needed. Lovren looked really bad today too by the way, we should really get a proper centreback to challenge him.

I will give credit where its due, that's the assist from Gini. And like I said before on him that he is just another average player, that is not good enough to be first team player. He will do alright to be our backup, but relying him on the midfield is a big no no. When we have better players, he will need to be replace and sit on the bench to be our backup.

Btw, after Sturridge subbed in, our attack became much more smooth!

I loved the in between the line runs by Sturj. The Sturj 2 years ago would've scored today. Too bad injuries have really killed his pace. Origi has much to learn from Sturj if he is to becomes a proper striker. He plays too much like a winger at times drifting out to the wings instead of making those runs strikers make.

Gini is alright, he's a pretty decent player, fantastic work rate, good ball control, good distribution, and i like his late runs into the box. He's had an excellent season apart from the last 2 games so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
As for Klavan, he's a big no no. He's terrible, I wouldn't even want him as 4th choice backup. Like what you said, our first choice CB pairing hasn't been fit and didn't really play that often so he has to sit in for a lot of the games. The ideal situation would be to get a decent CB this summer, and partner with Matip, with Lovren as backup. Klavan shouldn't be anywhere near our squad, not even if he plays for free.

A single injury prone Lovren as backup is also a big no no. Unless we get some massive funds this summer I don't see us signing 2 centre backs this summer. There are more urgent holes in defence to be filled. An actual left back and a backup for Clyne. A bad backup is still better than no backup. And we still need at least a midfielder, a winger and probably a striker too if Sturridge is gone.
