may be worth yr while to ask in the netflix thread as some may be using both netflix and hulu, same or similar dns/vpn.
or start a new thread, see if any hulu user will comment.

android box offers u a new online streaming experience compared to yr condemned ac ryan.

however, this box u bought cannot do one thing the ac ryan can do - dtshdma, ddtruhd audio pass thru for playback.

but if u r not into home theater and such videos, it does not matter as u will still get dd and dts.

really, over time, we all find our own preference for everything.

for devices, i am now using windows and android only, no more apple/ios n others.

for a start, read pages 1-2.

there aren't much 4k, HDR stuff to stream online, kodi or other apps.
however, if u playback 4k/HDR files, many boxes can do that.
the specs will tell u; actual performance and video quality may vary.
u did not mention audio, so i assume u do not need hd audio - dtshdma, ddtruhd, ddatmos, dtsx.
hd audio is possible with only certain brands and models, not all.

Both have similar specs to the other 2, but price... both rm1000 thereabout.

there are always differences, incl aesthetics... just the buyers know what they are buying and not buying.

if just about picture quality, one can only tell the difference using same 4k or 4k hdr tv and playing back the best files.

for common <10gb movie files and online streams on a 1080p tv, i don't think one can see or say much.

if someone will lend me a u9, i can test.

there is NO replacement for astro.

astro is legit biz; no one else is authorized to sell it.

all other boxes giving xtro channels are illegit, try on yr own terms.

but if u can accept alternatives, possible with boxes.

harder for older folks to use.

read page 1-2, get some idea first.

h8 plus is 2 yrs old, rm450 or so.
or u can go for newer q5pro, rm500 - android7.
becos u have an idea what himedia is, support etc.

i do not know h96 but is 3/32gb, high memory/storage, hope u can use it well.
support, features, etc., i hv no idea.

essentially, they all work the same.
the differences lie in reliability, support, updates in firmware.
maybe hardware durability too...

about usd80 (rm350) for box, usd130 (rm570) with 500 channels for 1 yr - this is legit iptv, competing with satellite tv in south india.

the box should work for all the android functions.

the only unknown is the 500 channels, can they work outside india with certain vpn proxy.

if u can make it work, u get a lot of channels incl starsports which has all the EPL!!

ya, sure can install vlc, mx, etc.

but is there a "beelink" player in the firmware?
