Again, that messge about rooted device is a another bad myth, bs.

One of my devices, unrooted still get that message.

Other two unrooted dun get that message, can install, can browse, but just cant load anything to play.

I do not hv the explanations but i suspect astro has spent money and resources to track almost all boxes and block them.

All mobile android or ios devices are fine.

Devices with google androidtv also fine.

Thats what i think.

that bit is another strange aspect.

hyppbox must have come in like a dozen submodels over the years.

with many firmwares, tweaks, mistakes even.

becos we read in more than one thread, almost every new box owner is "playing" with it.

with comments and cries of all sorts - "can't root", "can't find", "can't install", "can't play", can't start!".!

if u have it working for any app, that's almost look like blind luck, imo.

like to debunk once and for all - "rooted device" required for astrogo or hyypewhere or iflix or...!

when u replace yr tv with a google androidtv one, even simpler.

stick yr hdd usb into the tv usb to playback; tv youtube, tv news, tv netflix, tv kodi, tv popcorn, tv china apps.

If u wish, add astrogo, hyppewhere, ilfix.

one device... truly all-in-one!

Right... which is why i am puzzled so many people when failed to install some app will start with, "i rooted my box but still fail to install....".

here's an app for u to check out.

0.5-2gb files, much like those u find in kodi exodus or genesis reborn.

I hv this one witu yun logo but settigns say cloudtv.

Free stuff... not all working but enough of hd channels, quite useful.

Both yun n cloud are fine.

Both are now 2017030x versions.

The link u provided is 2014 apk, way too old.

Even the logo has changed...NEW Cloud TV.

If u r using YUN, installing newcloudtv will overwrite on it.

There can only be one.

Its still good...
