I'm reading 5 hours SOT on the average for most people with the S8+. That's fairly average considering my previous Mate 8 does 6-7 hours SOT - but that's the only thing the Mate 8 is good for, heh heh...

Ha ha, yeah, me too bro. Thinking of jumping ship...

iPhone doesn't tell you the SOT natively but the work around is to go to the Battery setting and touch one of the items as per my screen shot below..

Haha, same, although I always end up preferring iOS as my primary device...

Well, can have one spare phone, but too expensive for the spare to also be a flagship phone, unless it's a used one, ha ha...

That's exactly what's bugging me, ha ha...

I think the biggest question mark is the battery life. You can read all the reviews from other users but unless you try it for yourself base on your own usage, you won't know for sure

Cheat one la, Charge at 8pm, unplug at 100% capacity at 10pm and no further usage till 7am the next day. Zero battery drain - 100% remaining

Ya, WhatsApp is just a battery sucker by nature, and so is Facebook. But I noticed that the Facebook app behaves so much better when you disable the notifications. Can't do that for WhatsApp otherwise you might miss some important ones. I was told the main culprit in WhatsApp is all the group chats... Haven't tested it yet though... If I exit all my groups I might not get invited back

If they had put the same battery of the 7 Plus into the 7 I would have gotten it as well.

No... Safari is the most used app, ha ha... It's probably the background activities sucking the battery...

I wouldn't get a new one right now. Too close to the launch of the next gen one. Probably get a good used one, many bargains out there. One fella here was so keen to switch to Galaxy S8+ he sold off his 7+ 128GB for just RM3.1k (won't mention names, ha ha)...

Ya, hopefully he will sell his S8+ to me cheap when he moves to the next iPhone, ha ha...

And people who switched from 7/7Plus to Android said the same thing - bored with iOS...

iPhones will get interesting again next month with the WWDC. iOS 11!!
