QUOTE(666devil @ May 22 2017, 06:59 AM) If u go any Sammy shop. Can see the s8 hype alreadybdie down. Especially true in the klcc branch. But globally they are reporting record number in sales this round. Maybe not for Malaysia? Anyways, 3 days into using the S8 and I have to say except for the looks, it's nothing special. Was surprised so few ppl for a flagship product launch. Maybe all waiting for new Note? |

QUOTE(nanamizuki @ May 22 2017, 08:16 AM) Also, I do not know what build material S8 used. It's glass, bro. It will break in 2,000 different places if you drop it to the ground. In fact, it's so fragile, someone in the S8 forum already reported a small crack when he accidentally hit the S8 on a wall. When u hold on hand it feels so plasticity, even huawei P10 felt so much better when u hold on hands Anyhow still liking the naked jet black surface...so gorgeous and nice to hold on hand |

QUOTE(jumpstat @ May 22 2017, 09:40 AM) On LTE, your handset will ping to the nearest tower every few seconds. What makes the battery drain is if your location is in between 2 towers or away from nearest tower. As you drift in and out, the hardware will search for a signal and it gets worse when its set to on and there is no towers nearby. Sometimes where you are in a building does have an effect. Like in factory where there is alot of steel compared to a building, it gets worse. All GSM system like this. Only ATUR system no issues as it uses radio waves. ATUR... Wow, I remember those days... |
How is this true for you guys? Not gonna lie, at one point of my life i was one of those anti apple people, though bit earlier compared to most android people nowadays. I was all for windows mobile when the iphone 3g came out. Hard spl, flashing custom rom, did all those, then got my second iphone (3gs) and i never went back, iphone 4,5,6,7. I did for a brief period of time tried out android (was waiting for iphone 5 to release and my iphone 4 was a bit laggy at that point), i admit flashing custom roms are fun, but that's the problem, everyday there's different roms and i can't find one to settle to be my daily driver, i guess that indecisiveness drove me to stick with ios all the time. And i know this is weird, but i can never use another virtual keyboard aside from the stock ios one....
I love transferring files in Android. It's straightforward and fast. USB OTG is also another feature that is just so convenient to use. This is why I always have a secondary Android device for work, it's much easier especially with regards to emails, attaching files, etc. What drives me nuts is the battery management. Your device could be idle and dropping a couple of power percentage points every hour or less even after you've cleared and closed all apps. Then they'll ask you to check your wakelocks, but you'll need to root your device in order to do so and that will void your warranty in some cases. Well, no thanks. Yes, iOS is boring and troublesome to a certain extent. But as the late Jobs says, it just works.
i think one more thing to add is... android is more prone to virus attack compared to iOS...issit true ?
To a certain extent, yes. Android is a far more open system and security updates are slow or sometimes non-existent for certain devices. |

QUOTE(kamikraze @ May 23 2017, 09:47 PM) Leave aside on-paper camera specs, for those who upgrade from 6s/6s+ to 7/7+, how much the camera shot quality improve (not monochrome one). Thanks. I'm not that into photography so for me the differences are very minor. I like the portrait mode on the 7 Plus though. It's a nice party trick! |

QUOTE(winkiedilwy @ May 24 2017, 10:47 AM) after spending few weeks with the p10 plus and s8 plus, none of them are nowhere as snappy, easy, straightforward, smooth and better battery life as iphone 7 plus. safe to say. both are nicer, and the ip7+ look so old compared to the s8+, but still outperforms it. Whoa... careful. These days statements like this might get you reported, even though you are the TS |

QUOTE(666devil @ May 26 2017, 02:01 PM) Another real life speed test. Every year same story so. Newest android phone compared with 1 year old iPhone. U guys should know the outcome. I'm still experimenting with the S8 - into my second week now, so I'll reserve my comments for later, but yes, loading apps on Android in general is less snappy than it is on the iPhone, regardless of hardware.http://www.iclarified.com/60693/2015-iphon...peed-test-video What is the point of 4gb ran when all memory suck by OS? Reminds me of our current politics handling of funds in Malaysia Anyways, my 7 Plus is now my secondary phone on standby most of the time. Check out the battery life: And still 22% left |

QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ May 26 2017, 11:53 PM) Just reversed with my situation: I use iPhone for daily use due to the battery endurance & use Nexus 6P for entertainment cos easier to download + better stereo speakers. Ya, usually the iPhone is my daily driver and the Android device is my "entertainment" tool as well, but I'm bored at the moment hence the experiment, ha ha. Anyways, looking forward to iOS 11 and the next iPhone. |

QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ May 30 2017, 06:55 AM) Hands off, iPhone is a champion when it comes to standby time and usage time. One thing that it can DEFINITELY best Android. Hopefully Apple throws a 3000 mAh or above battery into the next iPhone Also, hoping to see an iOS redesign announce next week during WWDC... |
