QUOTE(Confession @ Mar 8 2017, 10:51 PM) Just got my phone, may I know how do I activate it without SIM, tried it via Itunes but still requires a SIM to be inserted. If you buy unit from local telco I am sure they include a temp sim card for purpose of activation. If not your own simcard oso can. Unfortunately a sim card is required for this action. Because apple will send a code to the phone to verify using the sms. |

QUOTE(JustcallmeLarry @ Mar 9 2017, 09:05 PM) Guys is iPhone 6s and 7 processor a huge upgrade? Specs wise there is a improvement in processor speed. Like myself, I upgraded from ip6+ to ip7 and I can tell you there is alot of difference in term of speed and worth the extra $$$ to fork out for it. I am currently using a iphone5 and it have become very slow at times and I am planing to upgrade. Is the iPhone 6s processor just have a few year lifespan till it become a slowpoke like my iPhone 5 or Should I just add the rm500 different and get a iPhone 7? QUOTE(killer_mistake @ Mar 9 2017, 10:29 PM) Just wondering.. I personally use cables from Anker & Aukey, especially those with braided and high capacity cables. I have forsaken other brands as they are more sensitive and are not that lasting. Original cables are good but they tend to split at fittings, but not these braided cables by Anker. In fact they charge your phone faster too with the right charger. I myself use the 12Watt Ipad charger + Anker Nylon braided cables to charge iPhone.those who bought 3rd party lightning cable with MFI certified (remax, pineng, etc), do you ever encounter any problem after using them after 4 months or more? based on my experience, any cable except original apple, 90% of them will suddenly out of nowhere stop working and will become totally dead. Is this only happen to me or it does happen to all of you? |

QUOTE(killer_mistake @ Mar 10 2017, 08:58 AM) Thanks for the feedback! Length is preference to own requirement. I myself use a 0.9m (3 ft) which is sufficient for me and also for the car. I have had longer cables before this but the longer it is the easier for it to get tangled/damage etc. Those braided one fare better. Just do note that for these high performance cables, the longer it is, the more expensive it gets as the wires that are used for longer cables are heftier than the standard shorter ones, to compensate for the voltage drop end to end.will try lookin for Anker / Aukey / griffin cable Did all of you use stdrd length? I'm prefer to use 1.5 meter or more. last time use 3 meter, very convenient as i don't have to sit around wall plug |

Once awhile need to shutdown, just to clear the cache. They are like computers too. This morning when i woke up and tried to sync my email and check FB, the apps just isnt responding as in i do not have any internet connection. Tried clear the ram but still it didnt solve the problem. Ended up have to restart the phone and everything back to normal after that |

QUOTE(xisan @ Mar 14 2017, 01:53 AM) Anyone know what's the problem that caused the iphone 7+ charging so slow? Even it's charger or fast charger powerbank still slow. My lil sis ip7+ seems to have this problem now. Its the charger. ip7+ is having 2900Mah battery and the rated charger is charging at 1A. So if you do the maths, it will take about 2.9hours to charge an ip7+ from 0%. The ip7 is about 1950Mah battery so will take about 1.95hours from 0%. You could upgrade your charger and go for the 12W ipad charger that can safely charge your phone for about half the time compared with using the stock charger. |

QUOTE(xisan @ Mar 14 2017, 01:36 PM) I know it's normal but abnormal for my lil sis ip7+. I'm using one too but mine charge faster than hers. Both are in 7% battery left, and charge at the same time. Mine connected to wifi and cellular but hers no sim and no wifi connected. After 10 minutes, mine was 20+% but hers was 14%. Same output. There are alot of settings in the phone that can affect the charging performance. The only way to be sure is to confirm that both units are of the same % of battery level and then switch off both units. Then start charging using a set of charger & cable in turn each phone with the same duration. Then compare the % upon power up. It should be around the same. |

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Mar 14 2017, 10:30 PM) BTW, how old is your ip5 bro? Usually, those old batteries do swell up when the time comes. My mates ip5 also with the same issue after 2.5 years usage. But getting replacement battery is not expensive like before. |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Mar 15 2017, 10:20 PM) May I know what telco you using? Disable your LTE (i.e. switch to 3G only) connection and it will be fine again. Just sharing. I'm using ip7 and so far do not have any issues with connecting to both my cars head units, to bluetooth speakers, bluetooth Hifi,3 bluetooth headphones, to the macbookpro to transfer files etc. No such stuttering performance as described by members. ie its working as it should be. Got my unit from Maxis and spotify as my streaming app.I wonder why nobody in this thread is complaining about it? I tried to search Bluetooth and nothing much info came out. I have read in some other forum that, sometimes the iphone case does effect it. As for the quick fix of disabling LTE, well thats shouldn't be the permanent fix as the feature is not designed to be used that way. What I would do is that, by using iTunes, I would format the phone as a new phone and then test out the bluetooth feature. If it is still the same issues, a trip to the nearest sc would then be my next step. |

QUOTE(Evilson @ Mar 19 2017, 11:46 AM) Hi guys, Bro, is your unit having this kind of issues? If so, mind you post it here. Thanks. Was wondering any 1 here with iPhone 7/7 plus matte black facing colour discoloration or chipping issue on the phone? Coating peeling off on its own? How do us guys deal with it? Thanks in advance QUOTE(JakzT @ Mar 19 2017, 05:57 PM) Theoretically it could get scratched as it is nude compared to the other areas which would be behind a glass screen protector like most people have. However i would imagine it is unlikely there woud be scratches unless it is dropped or banged in any way (such as riding in the pocket with keys etc). Most of the time it would be dirt from sweat etc.. |

QUOTE(Evilson @ Mar 21 2017, 12:01 AM) Ayoooo.... I cannot imagine the aluminium peeking out from the charging area. Is it maybe due to scraping from the lightning port? Whatever it is, imho it is not acceptable for the price we pay for the device. What did apple say abut this issue bro? |

QUOTE(Stitchie @ Mar 21 2017, 05:12 PM) Anyone here tried any good dongle that allow charging and listening to music at the same time? I went to lowyat plaza and tried some, all of them don't give good sound quality while charging, have some static noisy and music will be interrupted sometimes... I too tried to find a suitable adapter for my wired headphones. Couldn't find one that offers performance, so I opted the wireless route with Noise Cancelling technology. So I bought myself a Sony MDR1000X NC.Also my matte black i7 does get some sort of discoloration at the back, it's very small and not very obvious but it's there. I have my spigen liquid armor case on all the time. Recently decided to slap on a skin, so no more worries about discoloration. |

Staining with Spigen Neo Hybrid case. - Confirm that with prolonged use, in my case 1 full week from last inspection, iphone will develope the stain following the shock absorbing pattern of the case. Fortunately, with just a microfibre cloth, the stain does go away with normal wiping. Couldn't find any dust or dirt at all.
No idea what made the stains, but I firmly believe that the rubber used for the insides reacts to heat generated from the iPhone to develope that stain pattern. The heat may be due to charging the phone and during usage too. My temporary solution is basically washing the case thoroughly with dishwasher, dry it and then I put a layer of post it between the phone and the case. Pity, I quite like this case with its aesthetics but it needs to be replaced ASAP. |
